Plot Summary
This movie is basically about a girl, Alison (Heigl) who goes out partying with her sister for a night of celebration on her job promotion. Her sister ends up having to leave early and Alison is left with a group of guys that they had just met. She ends up having a few drinks with Ben (Seth Rogen), hitting it off and then leaving with him. They end up spending the night together and as you can guess from the title, she gets "knocked up".
The story continues with Alison jjuggling her job, her pregancy, and her baby's father who is jobless. It's full of laughter and you will find yourself laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
Overall
Knocked Up was written and directed by Judd Apatow. I think the roles were well cast and Apatow did a good job directing this movie. The supporting cast for this movie were adequate for the most part, however, I wouldn't go so far as to say outstanding. The movie has very few slow spots, although it runs a little over 2 hours long. I found it to be funny, enjoyable and very entertaining. I also enjoyed the soundtrack and felt the music was a good match to the movie.
Knocked Up won two Teen Choice Awards. It is rated R for sexual content and language. It is a movie that all women who have had a baby can releate to. It is an entertaining film that most people will find enjoyable, especially Katherine Heigl fans! I give Knocked Up 4 VP's!
