We've had some pretty hot temperatures here in southern Louisiana and that means a nice cold treat is in order for those long and hot summer days. One of the favorite ice cream bars here is Klondike Slim a Bear No Sugar Added Bars. It has a low sugar content and it is one of the treats my husband, who is diabetic can also enjoy if he has followed his diet closely for the day.

Klondike Slim a Bear No Sugar Added Bars

Klondike Slim a Bear No Sugar Added Bars come 6 bars to a package. They retail for $3.99 a box but coupons are frequently available for $.75 off in your Sunday newspaper supplements.

The vanilla bars have a chocolate coating and are wrapped in foil. They do not come on a stick like other ice cream bars do. The vanilla is artificially flavored and the chocolate is sweetened with aspartame. Each bar is a nice size and weighs 4 oz. each.

My Viewpoint

Klondike Slim a Bear No Sugar Added Bars taste pretty good to me. I like the fact that they are lower in calories than regular ice cream bars. The Blue Bunny ice cream bars which are similar to these contain 250 calories per bar so you are almost saving 100 calories per bar.

I'm not one to indulge in products with aspartame frequently, but do enjoy a bar of
Klondike Slim a Bear No Sugar Added Bars eveny now and then. If you are watching your calories, you may want to try these! I like it!

Not low in calories but now I need to raid the freezer and get a bowl of strawberry cheesecake ice cream, sorry but that aspartame just doesn't set right with me. ;)
