A few weeks ago, I was excited to receive in the mail a small plastic-wrapped package from Kimberly-Clark, which indicated on the label that it had been sent to me as a gift from my cousin, [TunefulGal][1] .  As is usually the case, I was absurdly excited by this free sample which turned out to be one of the prettiest little boxes I have ever seen containing 15 2-ply sheets of white ***Kleenex Facial Tissue***.

**WHAT THIS IS:**

According to the information on the company's website, ***Kleenex Facial Tissue ***is an old friend indeed, whose invention dates back to the early 1920's and Kimberly-Clark's experiments with creped wadding to produce Kotex and other products.  By tweeking the formula a little, K-C scientists came up with a soft facial tissue originally marketed for use in applying and removing cosmetics.  As is often the case in product research and development, serendipity -- and a staff member suffering from a head cold -- intervened.  By using ***Kleenex Facial Tissue ***to mop his running nose, he found that it was a convenient, sanitary, and disposable substitute for the standard cotton hankerchiefs of the day ... and the rest is history.  ***Kleenex ***has been the only really practical handkerchief that many generations have known and a windfall for Kimberly-Clark.  Indeed, a "***Kleenex***" has become the widely-used, generic term for **any** facial tissue.

**MY VIEWPOINT:**

***Kleenex Facial Tissue ***has been modified and developed into different types of tissue and styles of packaging but it is still an old friend.  If you would like to get a 15-sheet box for yourself or send one to a friend, go to ***Kleenex.com***.  Over 200,000 boxes have been shared so far and this is impressive considering that only one package is allowed for each customer and each person can only send a box to one other person.

Kleenex offers a variety of tissues. This box is the small rectangular box that is like a cube without aloe, lotions, vitamin E or any of the other extras. It was cheaper than the ones with the bells and whistles. This package used to be called Kleenex Boutique facial tissue, but now it's simply called Kleenex tissue, which works for me.

What I like about Kleenex tissue:

- It's a convenient size.

- They are fairly thick and are soft.

- They are made in the U.S.A.

- I don't usually need lotion and all the extras on my tissues, so that isn't a problem for me.

- The boxes are pretty, but if it cost less, I would go for a plain white box because I cover my tissue boxes with something else anyway.

What I don't like about Kleenex tissue:

- It is more expensive than the store brand, but it is not obvious due to packaging techniques (see below).

- There are less tissues in this package, which translates to more money per tissue than the store brand. I would rather have lots of tissues in a box and pay a lower price.

- The packaging has a plastic wrapping that seems unnecessary to me and is less environmentally friendly.

**My Viewpoint:**

Kleenex offers a soft and fairly thick tissue. they come out of the box fairly easily, but there aren't as many tissues in this box as there are in the store brand box. I would be much more likely to purchase these if they had more tissues per box for a better deal, especially since they are made in the United States.

Perfect for allergy season!

By

from USA

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

Kleenex Everyday Tissue is my best friend during allergy season. I keep a box in my bedroom right by my bed side. I have allergies all year long but can get worse during some parts of the year where I am in major need of these tissues. I can use these tissues non stop all night and it would not irritate my nose one bit. As many times as I use them to blow my nose, not once has it cause any sensitivity or rash on it. Kleenex Everyday Tissue are soft, and comfortable to have on my nose. A box of 100 tissues can last me for about a month, where I am constantly blowing my nose, day and night. Other tissues are too harsh on my nose and usually scratch it or cause it to break out with a rash, but again, not Kleenex Everyday Tissues.
Kleenex Everyday Tissue goes on sale at least once every 2 weeks and I am able to afford them and buy them when ever I need them. The price is just another reason to love them, but the great quality is the main reason I love them.

the best

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

I have been purchasing Kleenex brand facial tissues ever since I can remember and it is by far the best facila tissue out there. I have tried many other brands and can honestly say that they do not compare in quality and softness to Kleenex brand facial tissue. Kleenex facial tissues definitely costs more than other brands but the extra cost is worth it. They are so soft and stand up to a lot of uses. They do not irritate your nose even after many wipes and can also be used for many other things. I even use them to wipe down counters. I purchase Kleenx brand facila tissue at a club store to make it more economical and I litterally have a box in every room in my house. My husband loves having Kleenex brand facila tissue throughout the house for convenience. They are the best and I would highly recommmend them to anyone who wants a high quality facial tissue that won't irritate their nose. They are the best.

Kleenex is the only tissue brand our house buys

By

from Evanston, IL

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

I have become quite the connoseur of tissues lately! My one year old has started bringing home every single cold that goes around daycare. Everyone in our house has been sick 6 times in 3 months! I haven't gotten sick this often in years, so I really hadn't ever thought so much about tissues. I've been trying all the major and store brands, and the one that has consistenly worked the best is the Kleenex in the small rectangle box.

It is a great combination of soft and strong. My nose rarely gets raw and chapped from wiping when using the Kleenex. I tried all the varieties with lotion and they do indeed help with the chapping problem, but they're not really pleasant to use when you're well. The Kleenex do nearly as good a job keeping your skin soft, and they're great for use when you're not sick, too.

The Kleenex don't fall apart either. My mom uses some extra cheap generic tissues and if you have a really runny nose, they literally fall apart. Yuck.

While this variety of Kleenex is more pricey than other brands or even other Kleenex products, I've decided it's worth the extra money for our house to have one good quality tissue that handles everything!

Pretty but expensive

By

from Bellmore, NY

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

I love kleenex tissues and use them all the time but I must say the small boxes are a waste of your money if you have a family and also are like me a person with allergies who could use a box in two days.  I prefer the larger boxes as they last longer the only nice thing about this product is that it is still kleenex so you know you are paying more for it but the product is soft and not like the store brands which are rough and can actually hurt your nose when you are blowing into it.

The only thing I wish is they could find a way to make the box bigger as I love the look of them and keep them in my bathrooms and in the kitchen and in almost every room in the house but you have to buy at least a six or eight back so that you dont run out as they dont have as many in the box as the big square box, this is more for looks although the quality is there as kleenex is definitely the best brand on the market today and always has been but just wish it held more.

Kleenex Facial Tissue is a Great Product!

By

from Melbourne, FL

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

I've always loved using Kleenex Facial Tissue whenever I could. I do not generally buy it myself, but I use it a lot when it is available at a low cost, in a hotel room, etc. It is the most soft and gentle product I have used. It feels like a think handkerchief, but you can just throw them in the trash when you are done with them. It comes in the nicest packages that always look like they are decorations instead of containers. It is bacteria-killing, which is very important. However, I do not like how thin the tissues are. It really doesn't feel like there is much at all between you and what you are cleaning. Despite this, they have held up very well. They rarely tear up, and they are quite durable. The price is a bit high, though, and I normally just prefer to use generic tissues, no matter how rough they me be. Overall, Kleenex brand tissues are great product and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a gentle, soft tissue.

Always used it

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

I guess as far back as I remember from a child I have always use this brand of keenex tissue. It has always been a brand I trust. They come in many different kinds and a great selection to choose from. They are reasonable priced as well. It was always the box I got when we were kids and had to buy a box for school the first day to take. It is very strong and does not tear and crumble up easy. It is soft on the nose and does not irritate it during bad colds when you have to wipe your nose a lot. They are great to keep at home or in your purse or car. I think they are even in 3 packs to save money. They don't use up quickly one last you a good while. They don't ball up either like some of the cheaper ones do. They are thick too not pencil thin like some cheap ones. I love these and they come in handy. I have always used and loved this brand and will continue to do so in the future. Wonderful product

kleenex is the best

By

from Birdseye, IN

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

Kleenex facial tissues are the best!! I love the new designs they have on the boxes. They are super cute and super cool as my kids say!! They now have flowers, peace signs, and my son's favorite, the box with guitars. I love to look at all of the desingns! By far, kleenex is the best brand of tissues, and you can usually find them for super cheap, compared to the puffs brand. I really like that they support the box tops for education program. As for quality, they are the best in my book. We have boxes of the kleenex brand everywhere, home, cars, rv. They also make a nice care package. Package these with other household items like paper towels, dish soap, etc and you have a perfect gift, especially for the elderly who seem to have everything. I would deffinately reccommend these to everyone!!

Kleenex Facial Tissues are popular for a reason!

By

from Bland, VA

Comments about Kleenex Everyday Tissue:

You'd be hard-pressed to find someone that hadn't heard of Kleenex Facial Tissues - and for good reason! These are by far the best facial tissues on the market.

They're soft on the nose, but not so much so that they start tearing apart during use like other (even well-known) brands do. They hold up quite nicely and are still soft enough to not make your nose raw from rubbing them against it.

They're a great staple item to have in the house during cold and flu season, as well as during allergy seasons, which for many pretty much covers the entire year. We keep boxes in every room of the house and always have a few new boxes in the house ready to be used so we never run out. We prefer the originals without anything special added (scents, lotions, etc).

Overall, Kleenex is a brand that has been around for years for good reason. They definitely know what they're doing when it comes to facial tissues and should be a staple item in all homes!
