I was not happy with this product.

I'm normally happy with my appliances, but this one just didn't cut it for me. The dish-washing machine doesn't do much of anything but give your dishes a good rinse. Noise Level This dish washing machine is very noisy. It was honestly very disappointing because I had heard from several people that it was a quiet product to have in your kitchen. Cleaning Time Overall, the cleaning time with this product is rather decent. It does not take too long for this dishwasher to run its full cycle. Loading Flexibility You can fit a lot if dishes in this machine! You can pretty much stuff the whole appliance and close it and it will still run. The issue is that there will be negative results. Performance The performance of this dishwasher is absolutely dreadful. It leaves food all over your plates and your utensils. It is very disappointing. Design The design of this dishwasher is as boring and plain as it gets. There is nothing spectacular about it. Durability Overall, the durability of this dishwasher is satisfactory.

An efficient dishwasher

The KitchenAid Superba Dishwasher is an excellent choice for those on a budget. It is a very good value for what you get. This dishwasher cleans the dishes efficiently and easily. I do not have to scrub the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher- which is a huge time saver for my household- plus my hands do not dry out. My only complaint is that I wish I could fit a few more large things on the bottom. Noise Level This machine does a good job of masking the noise from the dish washer. It is definitely quieter than my last dishwasher- but you can still hear it. It is NOT silent. Cleaning Time As electronics improve they also become more efficient. This is a machine that washes dishes quickly and easily. It does have settings for shorter cycles- but i tend to use use the normal setting and just let it run. Loading Flexibility I guess this would be my biggest complaint. I do not feel that I can get in all my larger funky shaped dishes in without blocking the upper dishes. I do hand wash my larger items. Performance This dishwasher performs GREAT. My dishes always come out clean and sparkling- I do not have to pre wash and rinse everything. Design This KithenAid dishwasher is a simple design. I have all white appliances and this looks great in my kitchen. The buttons are easy to get to and use- my two year old can even turn it on for me. Durability My dishwasher has taken the two year old jump test on the door. If it can handle that it can handle anything!

Good, sturdy dishwasher

Recently we moved into a new house and I bought one of these for the kitchen. It was not an easy decision, the comparable Bosch dishwasher being a very close second choice. However, I am very pleased with the cleaning power, effectiveness of removing stains and grime from dishes as well as the noise levels of this particular dishwasher. In fact, if my clothes washer and dishwasher are running at the same time, I cannot even hear the dishwasher working. I also like the ProScrub option on this dishwasher, especially if pasta sauce was part of the menu at home that day. I was a little skeptical about the Light/China cycle, till one day I gathered enough guts to put a fine china Mikasa tea set into the dishwasher and run it on this cycle. So far, it appears that the tea set and also all my glass tumblers and IKEA stone ware have held up without a scratch while repeatedly passing through this dishwasher. The only thing left to be put to the test is the electricity bill at the end of the month. If that is not sky high, then I will raise my rating of this dishwasher from 9 to 10.

Scrub a dub dub. A Great dishwasher.

Has cleaned everything I have pit in it. Noise Level Very low noise. I can barely tell it is on. Has very good noise dampening insulation. Cleaning Time From light to pot scrubber it works quickly and efficiently. I have never needed to run it more than once per dish load. No complaints. Loading Flexibility Takes lobster sized pots to medicine cups. It all fits. Has a great silverware basket. Performance Everything comes out clean with no residue or streaks. It is important to use quality dish detergent and rinse agent. Design Handle is easy to use. Buttons are great. Easy to read all the writing on the dishwasher. Love the delayed start so I can set it to wash over night when the cost of electricity is so much cheaper to use. Durability So far it has handled a family of sevens daily dishes with not one problem. I have always used Maytag products. This is my first Kenmore. I am pleasantly surprised by its quality, appearance, and dish washing ability.

This dishwasher does it's job quietly.

Our requirements for a dishwasher included quiet running, efficiency, a bisque color, limited cycle choices, and a stainless steel interior. It only partly fulfilled our expectations. Noise Level Sometimes I have to look at the light to make sure it's running! Cleaning Time The cleaning cycle is very long, and even though there is a one-hour cycle, it doesn't seem to clean as well. Performance I know you are not supposed to rinse dishes beforehand, but if you don't do it, they don't seem to get clean. Design I really don't like the placement of the controls. I can't tell you how many times someone has leaned (even lightly) against the door and interrupted the cycle when inadvertently pushing a button. And there is no way to resume the cycle (even though there is a button for that purpose), so you have to start it back at the beginning. Durability Soon after we bought the dishwasher the computer board had to be replaced. The clips that hold the top rack come off, and the rinse aid dispenser doesn't show when it is empty.

Quiet!

I had 3 non-negotiable requirements when I went shopping for a dishwasher. First, it had to be bisque color (which is hard to find) to match my other appliances. Second, it had to be quiet. Third, it had to have a stainless steel interior. This dishwasher not only met all my criteria (and more), but it was also within my budget. It's features rivaled some of the more expensive dishwashers. Noise Level My first requirement was that my new dishwasher MUST BE QUIET!!! This dishwasher meets my expectations. I have been amazed that I can run the dishwasher while I'm sitting at the table right next to it! It is so quiet that sometimes I wonder if I forgot to turn it on. Cleaning Time It does take over an hour to run a cycle. I wish it were shorter. When I called to inquire about the long time, I was told the longer time is a tradeoff for clean dishes with less electricity consumption. Loading Flexibility I am totally amazed at the amount of dishes and the variety that I can load at on time. I can load 12 full-size plates in 1/2 of the lower rack. My large stew pan and large salad bowls fit. My only complaint is the manufacturer's recommendation to turn the silverware up, otherwise it doesn't get clean. That means I have to touch the eating area in order to put the silverware away after it is clean. Performance For the most part, the dishes are clean with a minimum of pre-rinsing....and did you notice in my previous remarks of how quiet it is? That's the best performance rating that can be said for this dishwasher. Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Design I like the design except for the silverware trays which are along the right side; you must open the dishwasher completely in order to add 1 piece of silverware. The slotted racks for the silverware are hard to use. It takes extra time putting the silverware in the slots and even more time to get the silverware out after it's clean...not to mention that you must handle the eating surface when it's dirty and clean. I would prefer to have the silverware racks along the front of the dishwasher instead of on the side. I do not understand how to know when to add the rinse aid. Durability I have had this dishwasher for 7 months and have no complaints about its durability. I will need to revisit this question after I've had the dishwasher for 5 years or so.
