KitchenAid food processor Review Summary

The KitchenAid food processor has great features according to our reviewers. It is just the right size, easy to use, easy to clean (you can wash it in the dishwasher or by hand), purees, and shreds and chops everything that our reviewers “threw” at it. Heatherkeever says, “This was great for chopping small amounts of nuts or making homemade babyfood,” she also uses it to buy in bulk, then slice and save – saving her money too. Jang420 says, “This machine just seems a bit better than the processors that I have had in the past.” Some found this food processer to be a little loud and high pitched, but overall for what you spend and what you get, it is a wonderful and useful home appliance to have around.

This machine just seems a bit better than the processors that I have had in the past. It shreds cheese very easily.

As with most processors, it is a bit hard to clean.

I do like it's compact size. It's a bit smaller than most processors that I've seen.

The price was not as much as you might expect for a Kitchenaid machine. It seems to be very competitive in it's price.

It's a good size for those who have small households and don't need to proces a lot of food at one time.

I'm a very frugal shopper, so I don't tend to spend much on smaller kitchen appliances usually, but I broke down and purchased a Pink Kichenaid Food Processor a few years ago and I have most definitley gotten my money's worth out of it!  Mine came the larger 12 cup bowl with the larger blade, then a smaller bowl that fits inside with a smaller blade.  I also have 2 different sized slicers and one cheese grater!  I have used this product so many times and it still seems brand new!  It makes everyday cooking so much easier and it's a breeze to slice and grate things.  I've chopped up nuts, chocolate,...

I got the 7-Cup food processor a couple of months ago and LOVE it!  I had spent a lot of time debating over what size food processor to get, but this one fits all of my needs.  I was suprised when I received it that there was a shredding / slicing blade included.  I use this all the time for shredding cheese, cabbage, and slicing pepperoni.  It also saves me a lot of money in that I now buy big blocks of cheese that are on sale and the whole log of pepperoni instead of the presliced.  It also came with a mini bowl that fits inside the main compartment.  This was great for chopping small amounts... review »

I received a Kitchen Aid Food Processor for a bridal shower gift and at first it was ok to use, but once I began to use it more it became quite a pain in the neck.  I found the bowl was too small and food tends to get stuck in the groove in the lid which makes it very hard to clean.  Also, the disk blade isn't very useful.  One pro to it is that I have never had any problems with it.

this is an outstanding product that does more than what it says it does.  Baby food is  sinch and making those no bake desserts is fun with this machine.

It says it can be washed in the dishwasher but I prefer to wash it by hand because there are so many places for water to collect if it is washed in the dishwasher.
