This product does not disappoint!

5

When I first moved out on my own, I inherited a number of kitchen gadgets from my mom. One of the gadgets I inherited was a metal whisk. While this is not a gadget I use on a regular basis, it is an essential tool in my kitchen. The whisk I inherited from my mom was functional but rust started to form and the rust particles would fall into my food as I was cooking. I already had several KitchenAid kitchen tools and decided to replace my old whisk with a KitchenAid model. I am so glad that I did! The feature that I like most about the KitchenAid whisk is that the space between the metal part of the whisk and the rubber handle does not allow for water to accumulate. I found that rush formed on my old whisk as a result of water sitting in this space. The design of the KitchenAid whisk makes sense. This whisk has a great design and really gets the job done in my kitchen. I continue to be impressed with the KitchenAid line of products!

Heavy and Well Made

5

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and I mean a lot. I bake and cook and prep and because I do it so often I need high quality cooking products and utensils. This whisk was exactly what I was looking for and in my favorite color too! The handle is comfortable to hold which is nice when I'm trying to whip egg whites to a peak. I love this whisk. Ease of Cleaning It survived the dishwasher which is paramount for anything I own, it's about as easy as it gets. It gets a little tricker if you try to clean by hand, crud tends to collect where the handle meets the actual whisk, but you can get it out easily enough with a bottle brush or anything with long bristles. Durability I accidently crammed this unceremoniously into an overcrowded drawer and didn't resize it until I'd taken it out days later. The whisk kept its shape which is great and something I've had trouble with in the past with other whisks. It's definitely made to last. Design The color is great and it's very sleek and shiny.

Great Whisk!

5

Surprisingly, it is actually quite difficult to find a whisk that is functional and easy to clean. This KitchenAid whisk provides both. The handle is nicely sized so it fits well in the hand and feels nice and sturdy, even when whisking thick custards or even mashed potatoes. It is just long enough and wide enough to provide a good grip without overbalancing the whisk portion. The wire whisk part itself is sturdy and doesn't bend, even when whisking heavy mixtures. This is a great feature since I've had to throw out many a whisk because it has lost its shape due to use. The whisk portion is also large enough to do its job without being overly large so it won't fit in the pot or bowl correctly. It's easy to clean, even the wire whisk part which can sometimes be tricky. I hand wash mine, but I'm sure it would be fine in the dishwasher. I highly recommend this quality product. It's a must for every kitchen and should give you many years of service.

Heavy Duty KitchenAid Whisk

4

I have several whisks in my kitchen, and I use all of them quite frequently. When Fred Meyer had a "Buy-1-Get-1-Free" sale on their kitchen gadgets, I bought this KitchenAid Whisk. It is heavy duty, and I like how the metal tines fit into the base of the handle. It's very fat and comfortable to hold and the tines don't slip out on me like with some of the cheaper whisks I've used. I only use this whisk for heavy duty jobs because the tines are very thick and they don't bend easily. My thinner whisks can be used for scraping bowls, but this one doesn't do so well in that regard. If I have a thick sauce or frosting that I need to whip, I reach for this KitchenAid whisk. The tines don't bend on me, so it works well. When it comes time to clean, I run my fingers across the tines to remove excess food and rinse it off under running water. I then put it in my dishwasher and it comes out nice and clean - and I have never had the tines rust on me. Overall, this is one solid and heavy duty whisk. Durability Unbreakable, very thick tines Design Attractive and it matches the other KitchenAid gadgets

alright but not very big

3

This Kitchenaid Utility Whisk is alright quality, but it's not very big which is kind of disappointing. Holding it in your hand, it almost feels like a toy. It does have several sets of tines though so it does do an alright job, but the small size kind of has the effect of making you forget you have it and instead just use a fork. The handle is nice and thick and has a hole in the end so it can be hung up on a utility rack, but when I cook I like to make a lot and the small size of this whisk just feels kind of tedious. I guess if you make eggs a lot or something like that it would be a handy whisk to have around though. Another good thing about this whisk is how sturdy it is, you could basically throw it around the kitchen and it would take it, so if you've got someone in your family who looks to the Swedish Chef as a role model then this whisk would make a great present for them. Put der chikie in da baskie, bork bork bork!

Disappointing Quality

2

I have quite a few of the KitchenAid cooking products and until this one, they have never failed me. It was realtively affordable and had a good grip to it, felt nice in the hand.   I used this maybe once or so a week for 4 months until it broke, and by broke I mean the red plastic handle snapped off of the metal whisk area. WHILE MAKING SCRAMBLED EGGS. Hardly a strenous task.  The handle and whisk are only secured together by a tiny piece of plastic inside, so I did what anyone would do, tried a bit of superglue.  That held for another few days and then the handle broke off again.  I contemplated duct tape, but the idea of washing it after made me realize it just needed to be thrown away.  It's too bad, because I had a whole set of the red KitchenAid products and I love my measuring cups and ladle so much!  I suggest getting an all metal whick instead, because the plastic on this one was clearly not made to last.

KitchenAid's Handheld Workhorse

5

There are times when you don't need or don't want to pull the big guns out and a hand-held whisk will do the job just fine.  With that said, you want a whisk that will be able to do the job, not get all bent up over the task or bogged down in sticky situations. The KitchenAid Utility Whisk is that whisk. To say this whisk is sturdy is an understatement.  It has stood up to every task I have put it to, from a season of canning to making brownies, cakes and pies, and has not let me down yet.  It has held its shape, shows no knicking or wear on the whisk wires and the handle handles the dishwasher with no sign of bleaching, pitting or melting. The whisk is comfortable for those larger tasks: at 10" long it will whip up egg whites in no time for that favorite lemon-meringue pie recipe that the family have been begging you to make; or turn the icey batter of those 15-stroke pancakes that rise extra-high and fluffy, and melt-in-your mouth with all of their buttery, maple-syrup goodness! This whisk is definitely a must-have for the cooking-tool drawer of any kitchen and is reasonably priced for the quality of tool you are getting.  A smaller version and a variety of colors is available as well to fit your taste.
