Works great for making cakes but the bowl rest doesn't work well. It fell into my cake batter and I had to buy a replacement due to the batter getting in the vents.

One strong reason why I purchased this mixer was the price, and the brand. All the products that I have previously purchased that were KitchenAid lasted a while, and worked well so I decided to stick with a trusted brand. The mixer was heavy to use and wore my arm out fairly quickly, so for long uses such as making meringues or anything that requires mixing for above five minutes, I would not recommend this mixer. Using this mixer for small, every day recipes such as pie filling, dough, or pancake batter, the mixer does the job very well. It is durable and mixes thoroughly. The speed is easy to adjust, and the beaters come out very easily with just a click from the button on top. Clean up is a breeze with this KitchenAid Hand Mixer, allowing you to wash the beaters and just wipe down the mixer with a clean rag. It is small enough to store in almost any decent sized spot. I would recommend this mixer for anyone looking for a quick use hand mixer.

I bought this because I didn't want to buy a standing mixer that would take up too much space in my tiny apartment. I didn't expect it to be too good, but I have to say I'm disappointed by how this product has performed. First off, the actual metal mixture parts are really difficult to take off. They get stuck, they aren't smooth, and things just don't really fit the way they are supposed to be. That makes it kind of difficult to clean as well. Sometimes I just wash it without detaching anything, but then it makes it really hard to store. As I said before, I don't have much room in my apartment and that makes it a real headache. Other than that, I feel this is just a standard hand mixer. It does the job, it's not extremely powerful, etc. The one thing I will say is that it's pretty quiet, so that's nice for not disturbing the neighbors. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this, but I'm not saying don't get it. It definitely mixes. There are just some little glitches that need to be overlooked if you want to get this.

After suffering from arthritis, the common stirring of my pancake batter with a spoon just was not going to work for me anymore. That is when I made the purchase of the KitchenAid Ultra Power Plus 9-speed Hand Mixer. Although, the speed for me did not really matter. As long as it was getting the batter whipped up, without irritating my wrist. That is what this mixer did. It works great. We are serial homemade pancake eaters, and this mixer makes it easy to get it done in no time. Where as before it took a while for me to get the batter stirred. My family is forever greatful to the makers of the KitchenAid Hand Mixer. Ease of Cleaning It as easy as popping the whisk off and putting them in the dishwasher. Although, a simple rinse can do the job as well. It is the most low maintenance appliance that we own in our kitchen. Durability I have literally used it countless times, and it works just as well as the first time. Which means this will be a long lasting device.

The KitchenAid Ultra Power Plus 9 Speed Hand Mixer is a great hand mixer, and very powerful as well. It has nine mixing speeds but I find that I never use any of the higher speeds because they go super fast, and end up making a mess everywhere so I stick to the lower to medium speeds when I am mixing. I use this beater for baking, and making different kinds of batter. It makes it easier and more convenient then having to take out my big mixer, especially when I'm just going to make pancakes or waffle batter with it. I also like to use this beater to make cake, bread, and cookie dough as well. It completely blends everything, so there are never any lumps or bubbles in my batters. It's very easy to clean because the beaters just pop out, and I prefer the compact beater because I can just store it in my drawer when I'm done with it. Mixing Performance This is a very powerful mixer and never use it on any of the higher settings because it would make a mess everywhere. It completely blends everything I need it to, and makes everything smooth and even. It makes every thing I make the perfect consistency, and there are never any lumps or bumps in any of my batters. Ease of Cleaning You can either eject them and put them in the dishwasher, or wash them by hand with a sponge. But honestly I like to take a big enough bowl of soapy warm water and turn the mixer on, it gets rid of all the excess batter in the nooks and crannies without having to scrub it. Ease of Use These kind of mixers are very easy and simple to use. You just have to pop the beaters into the machine, turn it on, pick the speed you want, and mix away. When your done the beaters are easy to pop off. Design It's a simple beater design, nothing special at all, but it works the way it's supposed to. Durability It's well made and very durable. I've never had any problems with it. These types of beaters last forever as long as you take care of them.

This is one of the best hand mixers I have ever used! I found that not only did it have a ton of mixing power, it wasn't one of those mixers that goes crazy and gets away from you easily like so many others are. It is a great size for me, since I have really small hands, and it wasn't too heavy or anything. It made it a lot easier to mix all sorts of things, and I felt like I had a lot more control over it than I have had over other mixers. Mixing Performance This worked so wonderfully with all the recipes I tried! I was so happy with how strong it was. It even mixed a really tough dough pretty easily. Ease of Cleaning It has some nooks and crannies that can be frustrating, but otherwise it is pretty easy to take care of. Ease of Use This mixer is very easy to use, even if you have small hands and no upper body strength - like me! Design I really like the design of this mixer. It looks really nice and it is easy to store. Durability This has put up with some seriously tough recipes here and there and it has held up great.
