Gets the job done well

We had this version in white not SS but we really enjoyed it. It seemed like we rarely had to pre rinse any of our dishes and they came out clean. Egg was another story but egg is hard no matter what ;) It was also quite quiet which we enjoyed too since we ran the dishwasher at night. we had one issue which I will address below but since we purchased it it was a good purchase. We now live in a new home and am starting to think about what dishwasher we will purchase. Right now its between this one and a bosch. Noise Level Excellent noise level! While I have heard Bosch is better this one is quite good as well. No complaints here! Cleaning Time Cleaning time is alittle longer but if it does a good job I guess I don't care! If I had to pre wash all the dishes first it would take longer too so the time doesn't matter that much to me. Loading Flexibility I think with every dishwasher I have had you need to load it the way the manufacturer wants you to do it. That way things get clean! The upper rack has the ability to move up or down which is nice and its easy to do. That way if you have a larger plastic thing for the top move it down some or if you have a large pitcher on the bottom move it up! Performance when working correctly it is Excellent! The dishes came out clean almost every time unless I overloaded it which that is not the machines fault. Design I liked the buttons on top so the kids didn't push them and it looked sleek. I did like the display on the front thought to let you know how much longer you had in the cycle. Durability For the most part it was good. We did have a repairman out once because it would stop midcycle and not wash the dishes. I cant remember what he did but it seemed to fix the problem. We did have a warranty though which covered the repair.

Does the job, but a HUGE pain to keep clean!

We have 2 of these kitchen Aid dishwashers in our house, and while they get the job done, they are not the easiest to load, and they are a HUGE pain to keep the stainless steel fronts clean. Noise Level These dishwashers are extremely quiet. It is so nice not to have the dishwasher clunking a making all kinds of noise in the evening when we are trying to put our kids to bed. Cleaning Time If you use the drying feature on this dishwasher, it takes a VERY long time to cycle through the whole thing. Loading Flexibility I am not a fan of the layout of the dishwasher for loading the dishes. It might fit more stuff, but our dishes don't fit as well as they did in our other dishwasher. Performance It does a great job getting the dishes sparkling clean. Design This looks great in the kitchen, but as I said before they are a PAIN to keep clean. I think the stainless steel they use is a cheaper version than the other items we have in our kitchen because they always seem to have smudges and fingerprints all over them, when our other appliances don't seem to smudge as badly. Durability We haven't had a problem with them yet.
