Most HelpfulThe Kitchen Aide Mixer is not Iwhat I expected. t is bulky, takes up a lot of room and is very heavy.I have a hard time moving it in order to wipe the counter beneath and behind it, With Arthritis in my hands, it is doubly difficult.
The wire whip attachment doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the...
read full review »KitchenAid mixers are, by far, the best on the market, and have been for years. My mother just replaced hers, and she's had it since the 1970's at least. They are durable, hard-working, easy to care for, and yes they are bulky and big, but I like that since that provides stability and large capacity.
There are a lot of attachments you can get, beyond the three basic paddles. I love the cheese grater attachment because I hate grating it by hand. I also want to try the ice cream maker attachment!
My biggest recommendation when buying a Kitchenaid mixer is to fork over the extra money to get...
read full review »The Kitchenaid Classic Plus Mixer is the most powerful stand mixer I have ever used! I bake a lot and this mixer has the power to even knead yeast dough. With the optional cover, you can add ingredients with the mixer on without them slashing on the counter, or worse, you.
The Classic Plus comes with a basic paddle beater, whip beater and dough kneader. You can do almost any kind of mixing with this mixer. I use it alot to make cookies and treats for my grandchildren. They both love "cookies on a stick", cut-out cookies, baby cakes, cupcakes, and any other treat I can dream up for them. ...
read full review »I was given the KitchenAid Stand Mixer-Classic Plus as a Christmas gift from my husband five years ago. Since that time I have used the KitchenAid at least three times per week and don't understand how I ever lived life without it!
I am an extremely busy and frugal mother of four. The KitchenAid is an investment, but it will last a lifetime. I have made countless loaves of bread using the bread hook attachment. This has saved our family a lot of money and the bread I make is much healthier than the store brands, and it tastes amazing!
The KitchenAid Stand Mixer came with a spectacular cookbook...
read full review »I inherited my Kitchen Aid stand mixer from my Grandmother back in 2001. I have heard, but not experienced personally that the quality of the 'consumer grade' Kitchen Aid mixers have deteriorated since. (Not the professional models.)
I love this mixer! It has the 'crank' on the side to raise and lower the work-bowl. The paddle doesn't get hung up in heavy mixes. The whip beats egg whites to meringue perfection, and the bread dough hook really works wonders on a butter rich dough!
It is heavy, I suggest finding a home for it where all you have to do is pull it out to use it. The...
read full review »I honestly couldn't live without my Kitchen Aid mixer! It is my favorite kitchen tool by far, and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It has the strength I need it to have and does a lot of different things I want it to do, such as mixing heavy, sticky doughs that I am completely not interested in doing by hand (and I don't think a regular mixer could handle). Kitchenaid also offers lots of accessories that do so much more than the average stand mixer could. We have recently bought the meat grinder attachment and one of the pasta maker attachments. We have yet to use them but plan...
read full review »This product is amazing. I have been through many hand mixers and another countertop mixer. The mixer is really powerful. I have used it on full bowls of really tough dough.
I do make homemade pastas and ravioli. I like knowing what is in the food I'm serving my family. The ravioli maker does not work. It holds the tiniest bit of filling which is not how I like my raviolis and it is very hard to line up the dough for full sheets to go through.
The one thing I really would recommend is that you buy the biggest one. The next size down is nice if you do not do much in the way of doubling...
read full review »I had to write about the Kitchen Aide Stand Mixer--I've had mine for several years now, and it is STILL going strong! I have used it for general cookie mixing--it can put together dough in minutes. I also use it to make homemade bread dough--no more kneading bread on the counter!
Pros: Allows you to use your hands while mixing the dough or batter, attachments to use for pasta dough, grinding meat are available, powerful enough to take pretty substaintial abuse and it is easy to clean. Mine has a lever that can adjust the level of the bowl, making it easy to add ingredients.
Cons: It does cost more,...
