This is a wonderful mixer. I use it for standard baking, candy making and for heavy duty uses like kneading bread. It is strong and extremely versatile. The whisk is an especially nice attachment for adding air and fluff as you would whipping cream or making meringue. I have had this mixer for years. Family members have used my mixer while visiting me and later bought one. I have the food processing attachments, but I only use them for applesauce. For more regular uses, I think it is too much hassle to attach them for use and then clean them, but I feel this way about most other kinds… read full review »

I received as a wedding gift from my husband, and it has gotten him out of the dog house many times!  He always reminds me that his love for me will last longer than my Kitchen-aid, and it is built to last a long time!  — For bakers, and home chefs this product will revolutionize the way you use your kitchen.  I do a lot of baking around the holidays, and birthdays, so this seemed like a great way to expedite those processes.  I could double or triple cookies batches, make fluffier cakes, and mix bread without burning out the motor in my Kitchen-aid hand… read full review »

This Kitchenaid mixer has the horsepower to handle the toughest mixing chores without complaining. Granted, a hand mixer has its place for quick, light duties. But there is nothing like a stand mixer to make quick work of things like stiff cookie dough. The motor on the Kitchenaid is designed to handle that type of chore without whining (and having you wonder if it will burn out as a result). It is large, however, and will take up room on your kitchen counter. If you have a small kitchen and use a mixer a lot, it is probably too heavy to have to take out and put away on a frequent basis. But… read full review »

I bought a Kitchen Aid Mixer in 1979 for $120.00 and sold in on Ebay 28 years later for $50.00 - I wanted a newer color.  The person that bought it was thrilled.  She gave it to her husband for Christmas. — I bought the KitchenAid Proline K5M5 a year ago and both my Husband and I love it.  I use it when I bake.  My husband uses it to make bread.  I especially like the bigger bowl. — It's well worth the money and will last me the rest of my years and then will be passed on to someone in the family, I'm sure. — … read full review »
