This Kitchenaid mixer has the horsepower to handle the toughest mixing chores without complaining. Granted, a hand mixer has its place for quick, light duties. But there is nothing like a stand mixer to make quick work of things like stiff cookie dough. The motor on the Kitchenaid is designed to handle that type of chore without whining (and having you wonder if it will burn out as a result). It is large, however, and will take up room on your kitchen counter. If you have a small kitchen and use a mixer a lot, it is probably too heavy to have to take out and put away on a frequent basis. But it you can spare the space, I highly recommend the Kitchenaid Proline stand mixer!
