    easy to use, heavy duty, 10 speed settings, very dependable, can mix 3x recipe chocolate chip cookies, whips egg whites or cream in minutes, runs well on low for heavy dough

KitchenAid Mixer - Professional 5 Plus Series  — 

My husband bought this - I didn't. I rolled my eyes. I mean, come on - it looks like a drill press and needs its own cupboard for storage! Then I started using it. :)
Big mixer, worthwhile investment. It actually makes and kneads really, really good bread. Not "bread machine" bread, good bread. Put in the ingredients, let it go, let it rise and bake. 2 Yummy loaves! It also whips egg whites in no time flat, makes tasty butter, makes HUGE amounts of whatever recipe you are using in half the time of a smaller mixer and never fails. I would decidedly buy one again.
