Most HelpfulThis review is about the Kitchen Aid Blender 5 Speed.
After more than decade of using a Kitchen Aid Blender that recently gave out, I just purchased the new and updated version. I will have to say, it is even better than the first one. The biggest change is the receptacle/container of the blender. ...

Most HelpfulMy husband boughht me a Blender for my birthday one year. I loved to use it in the beginning and used all the time. Then months went by without use. We were blending dog food for my puppies. Not too hard. Anyways the spinner on the base that operates the blades broke. The black rubber around it came...
review »I have had a few $30-$40 blenders that only sometimes worked well or that died within a year. So, this time, I decided to spend the extra money and get a really good blender. Trust me, it was worth the extra money.
Both my husband and I really like fruit smoothies, and it is nice to finally have a blender that mixes the ingredients together really well. It has no problems with an entire pound of frozen strawberries added to ice cream. The container is large enough (56 ounces) to handle more volume than any other blender I've ever used. In addition, we both like to make protein shakes with...
review »The Kitchen Aid Blender is fabulous for shakes - even blended ice shakes! Just be sure to follow these steps when making your shakes and you can't go wrong!
Put in your fruit and/vegetables first and blend on puree. Add the ice next and blend on puree again. Don't forget the PULSE button is great to get those larger pieces cut down to size! Add your liquid/eggs/powders next and use liquify. Your shake will be smoooooooooooooooooooth!
Be sure to clean your Kitchen Aid right away.
I had an older version of a Kitchen Aid model. The prongs stuck out of the base and slowly, one-by-one, they kept breaking and then I couldn't use it anymore. When researching the purchase of our new blender I realized that Kitchen Aid revised their 5-speed model and decided to give it a try. I primarily use it for smoothies. It blends well and quickly.
If I had to complain about anything, it would be how loud it is. It is quite loud. I do use mostly frozen fruits so that may contribute, but I wish it was quieter. It is also quite heavy. I don't mind that so much because I like...
review »The Kitchenaid 5 speed blender provides fast and powerful blending and comes in a variety of beautiful colors. The pitcher is made of polycarbonate and is scratch, stain and shatter resistant, not to mention easy to handle and light. It is exceptionally easy to attach and remove from the base and clean up is a breeze. The base is sturdy and prevents tipping and movement of the pitcher during operation.
The motor is extremely quiet and powerful and provides even and consistent blending, even with ice! Making smoothies with frozen fruit takes seconds and provides a perfect texture each and...
review »The Kitchen AidKSB560 5 speed blender is an awsome smoothie and frozen drink maker with an incredible ice crusher that really crushes ice and the motor does'nt burn out. I'd recommend this appliance for every household. This blender is a gem that I am considering giving as Christmas gifts to family and close friends.I t is easy to assemble as well as easy to clean. It does'nt take up too much space and the color went perfectly with the color scheme in my kitchen. The price was a little higher than I would normally spend on a blender, but you get what you pay for and I would rather spend a little...
review »This is a great blender. It has more power than most commercial blenders and clean up breeze. Fruit and vegetables blend to make great smoothies. The blade stays sharp and the glass is solid, and the base is very stable . Everything but the lid is dishwasher safe, and the lid is if you don't have a dry cycle. I highly recommend this blender.
