I'm sad it was discontinued!

I am a coffee addict. On a day where I don't have anything to do I'll drink an entire pot before noon. I drink it to wake up in the morning, I drink it with my dessert at night, I go through mountains of it. That being said I love this pot because it makes 14 cups which means I spend less time actually making coffee and more time relaxing and drinking it. I've had it a few years now and have zero regrets about my purchase. Brew Performance Makes my coffee just how I like it and in just a few minutes. Ease of Cleaning Most of the parts are removable which makes it a lot to easier to clean. The back part where you pour the water in is a little trickier but overall still pretty easy. Ease of Use Pour the water, add the grounds, push the power button and you've got coffee in just a few minutes. The only thing I never did figure out was how to set it to make coffee on the timer but it isn't a feature I really care about so it doesn't bother me. Design Red is my favorite color, it look great on my counter. Durability I've had this for at least two years and have never had a single problem with it. It's been through 4 moves and across the country with me and it's still kickin.

KitchenAid JavaStudio makes better tasting coffee

4

I have had the KitchenAid JavaStudio Coffeemaker for about 4 months ago, and so far I really like it. I enjoy the programable feature and love waking up to fresh coffee every morning. It's easy to clean and I swear that my coffe tastes better. With my old coffee maker, the coffee would taste kind of old and almost stale. But with this KitchenAid coffee maker my coffe now tastes fresher. I also like the auto shut off feature as I am always forgetting to shut it off. This way I don't have to worry about it. The big pitcher is also a great feature. I can make enough coffee for everyone when I have people over, or just make one cup for myself. The only downside to this coffee maker is that is really awkward to put the water in. It spills all over the outside and most of it ends up on the counter. I end up just removing the whole water tank, holding it over the sink and pouring filtered water in. Not a huge deal, just a bit of a hassle.

Great for a small pot of coffee!

5

I purchased this coffee maker from KitchenAid because it was on sale and mine had died. I really wanted a small pot, since I'm the only one drinking it in the mornings, but like I said, this one was on sale so how could I say no? I was pleasantly surprised at how great of a job it does brewing just 4-6 cups! It has a 1-4 cup button, and it somehow knows to make that bit of coffee have all the flavor of a full pot. It's easy to program and auto set up. The clock is very easy to set. It has a counter on it that shows how long it has been warming the brewed coffee, it just has a bunch of very simple to use buttons. If I can figure it out...you can too! KitchenAid is a good brand for countertop appliances, and you won't go wrong choosing this coffee pot.

Nothing Special

3

We recieved this coffee maker as a wedding gift. We put it on our registry because we have liked other KitchenAid products so much. We also liked this coffee maker because it had a timer. My husband loves to wake up in the morning and find his coffee already brewed and ready for him. We have owned it for almost two years now, and it has been very reliable. It seems to work well and makes great coffee. However, I don't think there is anything special about it. Compared to other coffee makers on the market, I think it is rather expensive. I also find that it is difficult to fill with water. The way the top of the coffee maker opens makes pouring water in very awkward. I also find that it is tough to clean. The top of the pot does not come off for cleaning, and I find it difficult to clean down inside the water resevoir. It gets kind of gross in there. Overall, we are happy with this product, but I wouldn't purchase this product again. We have had no problems with it, but I think we could have found a similar product for less money.

My Husband loves it!

My Husband was saying that our old coffee pot was not making good coffee anymore. I really did not think that the coffee maker had anything to do with how the coffee tasted. Man was I wrong. So I decided to get him this KitchenAid coffee maker as one of his birthday gifts last year. He was surprised that I got it but was very interested in testing it out. Right away he said the coffee was great. This KitchenAid coffee maker really makes super coffee - and you can really tell the difference. We also like the fact that this coffee maker has a coffee filter built in. We no longer have to buy coffee filters which is an added bonus and saves a lil extra money and time in the prep of the coffee and clean up. We enjoy our KitchenAid coffee maker and recommend it highly. I am very pleased with KithenAid and they offer a great warranty on their items as well. I am so happy that I decided to get this for my Husband's birthday!

It was okay...

We got this machine as a wedding gift off our registry.  We registered for it so all our countertop appliances would all be Kitchenaid, a brand we really likes.  Upon opening it, we noticed how easy it was to set up.  The design was very sleek and nice.  When setting it up, it was very easy to use and liked how it had a timer to start the coffee in the morning for us.  This was a big plus!  The first few times we used it it was great.  Loved the taste of the coffee and it was very easy to clean.  What we noticed for the first few months, once in a while we'd get a leak from the coffee maker.  At first I thought it was the husband and how he put the water in but over time, I noticed it was actual coffee leaking.  This happened once in a while but after a year, it happened more often.  The leak seemed to come when it was brewing and once I cleaned it up the coffee held fine in the pot.    After all that, we got tired of this and got a Keurig.  Overall, we liked it but didn't like the mess.  It was ehh.

Waste of money

I hate this coffeemaker! Cheap black plastic, it becomes plugged very easily and water goes everywhere. I contacted Kitchenaid about these issues and they just blew me off - they told me I had to have a receipt before they would help me, it was a gift so I had no receipt!

great coffeemaker that doesn't disappoint

4

The kitchenaid javastudio 14 cup programmable coffeemaker KCM534OB/ER is definitely for the serious coffee person.  You know you are getting a quality product when you purchase a kitchenaid appliance, and this one definitely does not disappoint.  This coffeemaker holds up to 14 cups, and if your family is like mine, it will have no problem finishing it off.  This coffeemaker does a great job of delivering rich flavorful coffee cup after cup and has an internal warming system that keeps the coffee at just brewed temeprature for much longer than most coffeemakers.  The coffeemaker itself is very stylish and you will not be ashamed to leave it sitting out on the counter with the stainless steel and black chrome finishing.  The carafe is extremely durable and can be placed in the dishwasher for easy cleanup.  The javastudio is going to be more expensive than other coffeemakers, but with the kitchenaid line, you are backed by a great warranty if you have any problems.

It's great but needs a better water indicator.

Kitchenaid gave me this coffee pot as a replacement for another coffee pot that was recalled. I do love this pot - it's easy to clean (although the clean pot indicator light isn't accurate). My only complaint on this pot is that because of the design adding water into the reservoir is messy and the indicator for cups is a wand extended from the charcoal filter at the bottom of the reservoir. The markings on the wand aren't clear and it's very difficult to see - and I have good vision. Definitely something added by an engineer, not someone who gets up early in the am and has to make the coffee. Good pot though!

great coffee pot

4

I bought this KitchenAid Java Studio coffee pot during a store clearance sale.  It was a great purchase.  the coffee pot itself is very sleek and space age looking.   You have several options for your coffee with this device.  You can adjust the coffee strength and set the pot for coffee start time all at the touch of a button.  I set the pot at night for my morning wake up call and it never fails.  The coffee is pretty strong which is perfect for dragging oneself out of bed first thing in the morning.  The pot comes with a great kitchen aid manufacturer's waranty.  I haven't had any problems with my coffee pot since I purchased it so I can't really comment as to how the warranty works.  I have had other kitchen aid products in the past that needed repair or new pieces and the folks at kitchen aid and the website were both very helpful.  Overall, I am very happy with this coffee pot.  I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to use reliable coffee maker.
