As I have mentioned in many of my reviews, I am a complete sucker for any product that supports a cause, especially those benefiting breast cancer awareness and research. I have to admit that I have almost all of KitchenAid's Cook for the Cure products. When I recently saw the "I Cook for my Mom" Apron in a magazine, I had to buy it. Not only because it was benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation, but because it was a great way to honor my mom.
The "I Cook for my Mom" Apron is made out of 100% cotton, and is pink with white embroidered letters. For every apron purchased (about $20) and registered at their site, KitchenAid will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen foundation. This year, KitchenAid will make a minimum donation of $1,000,000.
I purchased my "I Cook for my Mom" Apron online from shopkitchenaid.com, but it may also be available in retail stores carrying Cook for the Cure products (I'm not sure). I know that KitchenAid Cook for the Cure products are sold at Macy's, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Linens n Things. This was the best $20 I have spent in a long time.
