My husband and I received a Kitchenaid mixer as newlyweds, and it served us faithfully for years until I burned out the motor on bread dough gone wrong! I was actually happy to upgrade to the larger Professional 5 Plus and chose the gorgeous cobalt blue color to complement my blue and yellow… read full review »

The Kitchen Aide Mixer is not Iwhat I expected. t is bulky, takes up a lot of room and is very heavy.I have a hard time moving it in order to wipe the counter beneath and behind it, With Arthritis in my hands, it is doubly difficult. — The wire whip attachment doesn't go all the way to the… read full review »

Well, the KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer is very useful. The original packaging includes the mixer itself, a paddle attachment, whisk and dough hook. The paddle attachment is used for most needs. The whisk attatchment is used for whipping up items such as egg whites or whipping cream. The dough hook is for those who love to make homemade bread products, but don't like to knead the dough. The dough hook actually kneads the dough for you. Other attachments can be purchased from a variety or retailers. If you have always wanted a meat grinder, or an ice cream maker, they have attachments… read full review »

I received the Kitchen-aid counter top mixer for Christmas last year.  It was the perfect gift!  In the past I didn't bake that often.  Using a hand held mixer was ok, but I did'nt know what I was missing until I received the Kitchen-aid counter top mixer.  Just add and walk away, let the counter top mixer do all the work for you.  There is no need for you to stand and hold anything.  I love it.  Its easy to use, you can switch out the mixing blade very quickly and easily.  This allows to mix different types of dough.  Anything from bread dough, to… read full review »

I inherited my Kitchen Aid stand mixer from my Grandmother back in 2001.  I have heard, but not experienced personally that the quality of the 'consumer grade' Kitchen Aid mixers have deteriorated since.  (Not the professional models.)  — I love this mixer!  It has the 'crank' on the side to raise and lower the work-bowl.  The paddle doesn't get hung up in heavy mixes.  The whip beats egg whites to meringue perfection, and the bread dough hook really works wonders on a butter rich dough!  — It is heavy, I suggest finding a home for it where all… read full review »

After years of struggling through my holiday baking with second rate mixers, I finally decided I would make the investment in a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer.  I waited until my local store had them on sale (generally around the holidays) and brought my new acquisition home.  The packaging was, for once, customer friendly, I shortly was looking upon my brand new mixer on the counter, all ready to use. The mixer has now been "tested" through several holiday seasons and has performed perfectly each time. I am a heavy baker and some of the items I bake require hand kneading of the dough… read full review »

Kitchen Aide is a solid brand with this mixer being one of the top items of a well-run kitchen.  The colors are a bonus, the sleek line of the design is almost a form of art.  As with any mixer, you have to find a place to put it on the counter, because of the solid construction, it's not something you want to move often because of the weight.  It's a bit pricey but considering the durability with the years of work it does it is well worth the money spent.  I highly recommend buying the bowl covers to reduce splatters that all mixers do with some recipes,… read full review »

This product is amazing.  I have been through many hand mixers and another countertop mixer.  The mixer is really powerful.  I have used it on full bowls of really tough dough.  — I do make homemade pastas and ravioli.  I like knowing what is in the food I'm serving my family.  The ravioli maker does not work.  It holds the tiniest bit of filling which is not how I like my raviolis and it is very hard to line up the dough for full sheets to go through. — The one thing I really would recommend is that you buy the biggest one.  The next… read full review »

I had to write about the Kitchen Aide Stand Mixer--I've had mine for several years now, and it is STILL going strong! I have used it for general cookie mixing--it can put together dough in minutes. I also use it to make homemade bread dough--no more kneading bread on the counter! — Pros: Allows you to use your hands while mixing the dough or batter, attachments to use for pasta dough, grinding meat are available, powerful enough to take pretty substaintial abuse and it is easy to clean. Mine has a lever that can adjust the level of the bowl, making it easy to add ingredients. —… read full review »

After 30 years of marriage I finally got this and I love it. I have had mine for a year now and could not be happier.  It is a bit heavy to move but that is ok I will deal with it as I am so pleased with the mixer. There is a nice range of setting from 1-10 for mixing which I find very nice. The fact that it is hands free use is wonderful the mixed is really very steady so I don't worry as I am in the area doing more measuring or whatever else needs to be done.   I had an Oster with all the bells and whistles before this but it can not compare to my Kitchenaid. … read full review »

I purchased a Professional Style Kitchenaid Mixer many years ago and still use it at least once a week to make bread.  Most food processors will pull the ingredients together, but are unable to knead the dough for the 10 or so minutes that you would have to, otherwise, do by hand. — I compared prices as I always do, and although KitchenAid seemed to be one of the most expensive ones, I checked EBay to see what was listed there.  There were several there in all styles and colors.  Quite by coincidence, I found the stainless steel one that I was looking for and bought it at… read full review »

If you love to bake this item is a must!  I grew up using one and now that I have a home of my own I use one.  This item has many attachments to it.  It even has an ice cream maker attachment.  Ihave had mine for over 3 years and it has never had an issue.  My parents have had there's for over 20 years and have never had an issue.  I am not sure how long my grandmother has had hers but it hasn't had an issue either.  The stand mixer also comes in many different colors so it is now possible to match the mixer to your kitchen decore.  Kitchen aid is also… read full review »

This product is a workhorse.  It can handle any mixing/beating/whipping task that you throw at it, from the lightest meringue to the thickest cookie dough.  The product has some weight to it, which to me is one sign of quality.  There are many attachments available for this product, which only adds to the long list of tasks that it can handle.  The mixer is low maintenance and easy to clean.  I've had my mixer for a few years, and from what I've heard, they can last long enough to pass down to your children.  It's essentially the last mixer you'll ever have to… read full review »

i like the kitchen aid mixer i wish though i had the bigger one but, i love this one.  it works well built well.  It does take up lots of room and is hard to store other than on the counter top.  But the use of the machine well out ways the bulkyness of the machine.  You can make anything from bread to cookies in this thing.  its easy to use even my young children can help me bake.it cleans up very easy and i can put the pieces in the dish washer for easy clean up.  It also comes in many colors.  I have the white which is a little harder to keep dust… read full review »

This is a great piece of equipment and is worth the large cost.  I concider it "hands-free" because it can be mixing while you are doing other things. I use it largely for mixing cake batter and icing. The few downfalls are the obvious. The cost makes this piece a large investment. It is fairly heavy and takes up a lot of counter space. The other drawback is it has a large "head" which makes it difficult to add additional ingredients with out either stopping the machine & lifting the head or without purchasing the additional adaptor to pour ingredients into. It does have many additions… read full review »
