I received this mixer as a wedding present, and though I don't cook much in general, I love this mixer. I have a tiny apartment kitchen, but it's well worth the space it takes up! — — My favorite thing about this mixer is that I know it will do anything I need it to do. I've made frosting, mashed potatoes, ice cream (with the ice cream maker attachment), doughs for various baking projects, cream soups, etc etc etc. It's so much nicer than a hand-mixer, because I can turn it on and just let it go. — — This mixer is also top quality, and it's easy to clean. Just… read full review »

My parents had one growing up and it lasted them at least 15 years with every day use. So when I got married and they asked what I wanted for a wedding present, I told them a kitchen aid mixer. I love mine! It's versitile, you can make bread dough, cookie dough, mashed potatoes, frosting, whip egg whites, and almost anything else you can think of. I also feel very secure because it is from kitchen aid. I have had some of their other products that ended up with defects and they replaced them, no questions. Very quickly too. Excellent customer service. The mixer is my favorite kitchen… read full review »

I love my Kitchenaid Artisan Series Stand Mixer. I have the beautiful pink one! It's model number: KSM150DSPK. I purchased this certain mixer from cooking.com about a year ago. It has a 325-watt mixer motor with 10 speeds and a tilt head design. I just love the beautiful pink color but also with the purchase of this mixer a donation will be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in the amount of $50.00. This is a limited edition color but this mixer would be great in any color. I use mine on a regular basis and it is the best mixer hands… read full review »

I had been shopping for a Kitchenaid Mixer for years, but I was not willing to pay the prices that were being asked.  I liked the beautiful Red Empire one and searched, searched, searched online and in stores and almost bought one last year when the least expensive sale price I would find was $269 for a brand new one.  I noticed this year, 2007, their was a price increase up to $299 and this really irked me.  I just knew I could get it for less if I kept looking.  For the first half of the year, I couldn't seem to find one for which I was willing to pay the price. … read full review »

I bought my Kitchenaid Stand Mixer after a couple of years of debate. I didn't think I could justify the cost. Then I had the opportunity to use a friend's stand mixer and immediately went out and bought my own. I've had it for about a year, and it gets moderate to heavy use. — The versatility of this appliance is one of the things that drew me to it. Mine came with three different beaters - a whisk, a paddle and a dough hook. I have used all of them for various tasks, and they all perform well. The beater is off-set, so that it rotates close to the sides of the bowl, greatly lessening… read full review »

When it came time to create our wedding registry, the first thing I flew to was the Artisan mixer.  I had heard tons of reviews on how useful it was, how it lasted forever, and how it comes in so many cute colors!  Sure enough, I found a color I loved - caviar, a sparkly black.  I never guessed how much I would use it once I found out how easy it was to use.  I use it to make bread, whip cream or egg whites, make compound butters, make all sorts of baked goods and probably most importantly (to me) - whip up a big bowl of chocolate ganache!  The only downside is the… read full review »

The kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer is one of the finest mixers on the market.  My family has owned one for well over ten years and it is still working just as good as it did on day one.  The mixer offers different levels of speed which helps with the mixing of different ingredients.  The different mixing handles that come with it allow for mixing of different kinds of products such as cake mix, bread mix, or egg yolk.  The many attachments that can be purchased for it also come in cery handy.  The meat grinder works great for making your own hamburger or even for… read full review »

This is a great mixer. It makes making cookies take about 2 seconds because you just add the stuff and turn it on and go. They even make a pour spot so you can add flour and eggs and things without turning off the mixer and without getting stuff all over your counter. There are different attachemnts for dough, bread, etc. that come with the mixer. You can also buy additional attachments to make your mixer do all sorts of things. It can turn into an ice cream maker which makes great homemade ice cream in under an hour (not counting mixing time) without having to use salt or anything. It can… read full review »

I love KitchenAid products - period! They are built to last. The Artisan makes everything I do so much easier. Best of all, I don't need to do alot of bowl scraping and pouring in additional ingredients is so simple. I bought mine at Bed, Bath Beyond with the 20% off coupon. What I found out after working at Williams Sonoma as a seasonal employee is that WS sells KA mixers with steel gears, as opposed to the plastic ones in most others. After checking with KA customer service, this is true. It's about $50 more but with KA being such a great product, even if I had to get the gears… read full review »

I was given the KitchenAid Artisan food mixer as a gift and love it!  It is easy to use and easy to clean. This has become one of my most heavily used small appliances - I use it to mix pie fillings, knead dough, beat eggs, whip cream - it is one versatile machine. Additionally, there are attachments that increase the versatility of this machine - a food grinder, juicer, pasta maker and an ice cream maker amongst others. All are easy to use and easy enough to clean. — The mixer is heavy - which is great when you are kneading dough - it stays in place and does not jump around. If… read full review »

I received this as a gift when I was in high school. I didnt know how to even cook at the time and didnt really like receiving gifts like this since it would be so long before I had my own house and would use it. Well I was married before I knew it and was so thrilled when I had my own home that my mother bought me such useful presents so I was all set up in my house with things people starting out usually dont have. Mine is a pastel pink! They have awesome colors out there and add new ones all the time. I've made so many different things using this. It is heavy and takes up a lot of room but… read full review »

I received this as a wedding gift from my Grandmother.  It is such a classic staple for the kitchen.  It really has a timeless design and goes well with most decor.  It has great power, I've never had a problem mixing anything with it.  When I do cookies I use it all the way to the end.  I would like to try the other attachments because I don't get a lot of use out of this, simply because I don't do a lot of baking.  When I do though, I'm glad I have it.  I have a small kitchen, so the other drawback is counter space.  Thankfully, I have great cupboard… read full review »

I always wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer and I finally received a red one this past Christmas. What a fabulous product.  It makes baking a joy. It is so well made. It has all the power you need for large batches of cookies, heavy bread dough and even whipping up mashed potatoes and mixing up a meat loaf.  The tilt head works great for adding ingredients and the speed control limits the mess at start-up. On high, you can whip cream into peaks in mere seconds. Besides all the fabulous uses, it's a thing of beauty.  Even my husband can't pass by it without mentioning how nice… read full review »

I always wanted a good, all-purpose mixer.  When I upgraded my kitchen a year ago, I bought my Kitchenaid Artisan.  It is the most useful appliance in the kitchen.  Even my husband loves it!  The variable speeds lets me create with one bowl.  Breads, pies, cakes.  It's been fabulous.  Yes, it's heavy, but it sits nicely on the lazy susan below my counter, so it's not a problem.  I would definitely buy this product again.  Shop around.  Bargains on this product were easy to… read full review »
