Heavy and durable!

I love this KitchenAid Mixer. First of all I don't cook EVER! So I needed something that would encourage me to cook more....THIS WAS IT! I couldn't believe how amazing it was. First of all it was red..my favorite color. Second, it mixes on it's own. Third, has a handle. Fourth, easy cleanup. I don't have any problems with my mixer. It is amazing! My grandma makes these to die for cookies and I could never get the recipe right, but it must of been the way I was mixing the dough because with my new mixer they are perfect!!! EVERY PERSON needs one!! I am so in love with mine and my mom and sister both have one...they love theirs as well. It is worth every penny. By the way they are so long lasting...my mom has had hers for 10 years--even dropped it once and it still works like a charm!

So versatile. A much needed kitchen appliance

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This kitchenaid is great for so many different things.  Especially if you get the attachments.  So much more powerful than a hand mixer.  You can make some stiff doughs with no troubles.   Prior to getting this as a wedding gift, I would try to make cookies with my hand mixer and would often times have smoke coming from the motor.

I have used it to make pizza dough, cookies, frostings, meringues, etc.

I have the slicing attachment, the meat grinder, and  the ice cream bowl.  I love them all!

I have used the meat grinder to save money on meats.  You can buy a cheaper piece of meat and grind it yourself.   Plus you know that your shredded me...

Worth the money, even if you aren't a frequent baker!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I postponed the purchase of my Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer for years because it was too expensive and only caved in after I was able to use a 20% off coupon at Linens & Things and got free shipping besides.  (I may add that having this shipped is a good idea unless you have your car with you as most types of Kitchen Aid Mixers tend to be very heavy and difficult to carry.)  When the big day came and my mixer showed up, it was a project just to lift it out of its box and get it up on the counter ... but it was worth it.  A Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer is a major investment which will pay for itself for many years.

I must admit that I am not the aggressive industrious baker that I used to be but when I am so inclined to bake, especially if it is cookies or something else which requires a stiff, heavy dough that is difficult to stir, I always marvel at the wonderful job my Kitchen Aid does for me!

A Baker's Best Friend

Overall

If you don't have a Kitchen Aid Mixer, you are missing out on a great appliance.  The Kitchen Aid Mixer makes baking fun!  This is the most powerful mixer I have ever owned.  It is a heavy duty mixer that can perfomr many functions.  I use mine almost everyday for something.  It is great if you want to make a double batch of cookies, two recipes fit in bowl and it is so powerful will mix them with ease.  The dough hook is really useful if you are a bread maker.  I love to make any type of bread, roll, etc. with yeast.  This mixer mixes your ingredients with ease.  It only uses one blade but it scrapes the bowl from side to side.  Once you try...

Best Purchase I've Made!!

Overall

This mixer has saved my life! I went gluten free last year and was so confused, trying to find breads, muffins, and other foods I could eat. I make my own bread at home and decided to buy a bread machine. I ordered one from Bed Bath and Beyond and then, when it arrived, I changed my mind and decided to get this mixer instead. I figured I could use it for more than just bread, so it would be a more useful machine. Boy, was I right!

It's so wonderful to dump a gluten free cake or brownie mix in and let the mixer do its job without mixing it myself. Mashed potatoes are a breeze, I just boil them until soft, throw them in the mixer, pour in some milk, butter, and cheese, and within 2 minutes I ...

My mother and I have gone through stand mixers and hand mixers like you wouldn't believe. When I decided to get a new mixer, I knew the only one for me was the Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer. We bake a lot especially the holidays and this is the perfect work horse for that. Its ten speeds help to blend any kind of dough for me. Having a stand mixer also takes a lot of the work off of your wrists and hands. It also comes with three attachments: a dough hook, a whisk, and the dough mixer. They are all sturdy attachments that seem to hold up in the toughest situations. The weight of the mixer may be a bit heavy for some, but most of today's mixers are made of a lot of plastic. Kitchen Aid seems to be the only one that makes solid metal mixers anymore. I'm sure that this mixer will last for years and years to come. I'm sure it will beat out all the mixers we've ever had and then some. It is a little expensive, but you're definitely paying for an amazing product!

I have had my KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer for about four years now. Previously I always used a stand mixer that had a rotating bowl with double beaters, so the KitchenAid Artisan mixer definitely took some getting used to. Overall I am very happy with it though. I like how sturdy and solid it is, and it does a very nice job of mixing things. Sometimes it is a little difficult to scrape the sides of the bowl since it is deep and narrow and the beater is often in the way. I really like the single beater though since it is much easier to clean than double beaters. I also like the additional attachments that come with it such as the beater for whipped cream or the dough hook. I use the dough hook to make pizza dough and it works great. I also like how there are so many additional attachments that can be purchased to use with this mixer. The biggest downside for me is probably how heavy it is. Very good mixer though.

The KitchenAid mixers are by far the best appliance you can have in your kitchen if you cook or bake. At first glance it seems like a very large item that will take up valuable counter space (especially in a small apartment like I have have), but it is well worth the space. KitchenAid mixers make baking a breeze. My cookies are always nice and soft and smooth, because I am able to effectively cream my butter and sugar together without my had feeling like it is going to give out like with a hand mixer. There are a ton of accessories too which make the mixer an even better deal. It comes with 3 attachments and you can buy more. The splash guard is helpful so that you don't get food all over your kitchen. I also love that it is easy to clean. A simple wipe down and clean out the bowl and you are good to go. I would recommend a KitchenAid mixer to everyone! But especially for anyone that really likes to bake.

I bought this on a whim years ago and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Everything turns out perfect. I don't know how I made mash potatoes before I go this mixer! If you have ever wanted to make a lemon meringue pie, you need this mixer. I have also gotten the ice cream maker attachment (super easy once you get the hang of it) the shredder/slicer (a little bulky to store) , the juicer (only used once). I would not give it up for anything. Such a solid appliance, so heavy. I store on my counter and while making bread it did go a little crazy and fall of, bending the screw for attachments, a little annoying because now the attachments are hard to use but totally my fault. I love my appliance, I got it in black.

KitchenAid Pro is a good product but......

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I really like this product but have wished that the head unit would tilt back rather than the bowl drop down.  I purchased it because of the capacity of mixing bowl and power of the motor.  You won't be disappointed with these options.  The unit is heavy though so moving it from one place to another can be problematic.  I purchased a special flat beater that scrapes down the sides of the bowl.  This is the best attachment ever!

KitchenAid can mash potatoes for a crowd in nothing flat.   What used to be a chore that would leave me sweating, has now become an easy minute prep for a large dinner.  The appliance can be loud which has been a problem in my ...

After many years with my old Sunbeam mixer I needed a new one so I got  the red KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer as a holiday gift. I had hoped for it a bit earlier so I could use it to make my holiday dinner, but alas it has served me very well for the rest of my cooking and baking needs. First of all this KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer has enabled me to make batters that are heavy and full of ingredients. I have not had to worry about splatter all over the place as I had to with other mixers. I found having different beaters really made a difference, especially if I was whipping versus mixing versus just stirring. The stand held the bowl well and I had no problem finding space for the size mixer. Its size also enabled me to find mixer covers that were just right, not too big and not too tight. I also loved that it came in red as this goes so well with the kitchen and is not your standard white mixer.

I received a Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand mixer as a Christmas gift from my oh-so-thoughtful husband. I love it. I easily use it every week. I use it to make pizza dough, cookies, whipped cream. Love it.

I love that the top locks down so that when I knead dough with the dough hook attachment, it forces the dough to give rather than pushing the arm up. It is easy enough to wipe down after each use, and the bowl and attachments clean up very easily. I put the bowl and attachments in the dishwasher and have never had an issue. A second bowl and lids complete my love afair with the KitchenAid. .

My Kitchen Aid Mixer is the only mixer I have not managed to burn out! I decorated cakes as a hobby for family and friend and was always burning out the motor in my mixer on the decorator icing of my other mixers, but not my Kitchen Aid Mixer. It can handle anything I throw at it to mix. I love how versatile it is with all the different attachments. And also how sturdy the stand and bowl is. The mixer is built to last well enough to be past down in the family as the younger generations start baking, that is if grandma is willing to give up her Kitchen Aid mixer!

I've even had a mishap with a shortage in the cord of another kitchen appliance that happen to touch the bowl of my Kitchen Aid Mixer. Sparks flew and it chinked out a piece of my bowl, but it did not short out my mixer, and since the mixing bowl is so heavy and sturdy it was not damage enough to have to replace it. It's the best mixer I have ever owned!

The Kitchen Aid mixer has been everything I hoped it would be.  For us it was the "quintesential wedding gift".  It was the first thing on our registry!  I was so happy to get it and hope it will be with us for a long time.  I chose red since we have a few red kitchen items already but it appears to be the most popular color!  While a very heavy item it can do a lot!  This is definitely a counter top item!  Don't let your small kids try to lift this.  From mixing bread dough's and brownies to whipped cream and fillings it is awesome at mixing everything!  I remember the days where I would try to whip things with my tiny hand blender or even by hand!  This thing - although not an arm workout! - will solve all your baking issues.  You can tell I mainly use this for baking - but since it seems like it'll last a lifetime I hope to use it for many items.

KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 Mixer does it all

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I bought the KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 Mixer for my wife for Christmas two years ago. It was the best thing I ever did (perhaps, for me). After going through cheaper, hand-held mixers her whole life, which usually broke or didn't have the power of the KitchenAid, my wife finally had a reliable "power tool" to make holiday treats and other year-round goodies.

They say you get what you pay for and it's definitely true with the KitchenAid Artisan. It may cost a little more and it's a tank, but that weight just shows how durable and dependable it can be year after year. I got my wife a nice red finish, which was different than the typical black, white or stainless steel, and it really stands ...
