After years and years of putting up with dealing with cheap flimsily-made plastic housing stand mixers, broken plastic housings, broken beaters, broken gears and burnt out motors, I decided that enough was enough!! — I became so fed up with the extremely poor quality and the poor services of those wimpy units that I made a promice to myself that I would NEVER buy anything less than a KitchenAid Stand Mixer!! — So I bought the K-45SS Stand Mixer. It was on sale for only $165.00! That $165.00 has gone a very long way! The mixewr has more than paid for itself… read full review »

We have had this machine for 13 years and it works like a champ. We make waffles with it nearly every weekend.  It is great a beating egg whites into nice stiff peaks.  It  also handles high volume jobs with lots of ingredients very well.  It is heavy so I would suggest you find a place for it on a cooking accessible counter near an outlet. — The various attachments have met all of our needs. — It can be a bit loud when at high speeds. —… read full review »

This is by far my favorite appliance in my kitchen. I love to bake and this mixer can handle the stiffest cookie dough and whip the best mashed potatoes. It was a little different to get used to but 21 years later it still performs to my expectations and has never let me down. The attachments are easy to interchange and work wonderfully. I use the meat grinder and the shredder/slicer attachments often. It is worth every cent and does not fall apart as soon as the three month warranty on other appliances runs out. I can't say enough except "thanks" to the Kithen Aid company for making a… read full review »

The Kitchen Aid Mixer is fabulous!  It can handle heavy cookie dough, heavy bread dough, and whip the lightest, fluffiest, whipped cream.  Paddle and Whip attachments are solid.  The base has enough weight to it so even on the highest speed, the Kitchen Aid Mixer stays in place.  Good quality and the price is well worth the cost.  It is an appliance that you can have for longer than your marriage (come on, you know what I am talking about) or for those dedicated few longer than your Golden… read full review »

I love this mixer because it can be used for every cooking task -- big or small.  It handles 4 loaves worth of bread dough as well as it blends spice mixes.  In most cases, it comes with three different stirring hooks and a splatter guard (great when mixing anything with flour).  The hooks and splatter guard are dishwasher safe.  Also, the amount of accessories available is staggering...a meat grinder, pasta maker, ice cream maker, etc. It is now available in just about every color you can imagine, so it is sure to match your kitchen.  Some money from… read full review »

My Kitchen Aid stand mixer is practical, versatile and takes the work out of making a meatloaf and makes whipping egg whites a snap.  I haven't had it long but I am getting ready to give it a good workout making Christmas cookies, cakes and breads.  I feel it is a good value for my money. — The only problem I have found is that it's sometimes difficult to get the bowl firmly in place.  The bowl is about 5 quart so it's great for big batches, although you wouldn't want to get rid of your hand mixer for small quick jobs such as beating one egg. — It is fairly heavy… read full review »

I purchased my kitchen aid mixer about 8 years ago.  Since I have purchased it I have had nothing but good things to say about it.  It is sturdy, beautiful, and extremely easy to operate.  The mixer is heavy but I leave it on my counter so that is not really an issue.  — My mixer came with a whisk, a dough hook and a paddle as well as a pouring shield which makes it easy to add flour etc. while the mixer is running.   Over the years I have added a couple of attachments including the grinder which is wonderful for making chopped meat.  I can buy lean… read full review »

I love you cook in my spare time, unfortunately my spare time is often sparse.  The Kitchen Aid Mixer I received as a wedding gift has made much better use of my time.  It is heavy, so I have to leave it out on my counter or I wouldn't go to the trouble of using it as often, but is well woth the counter space I give up.  It does everything my blender, food processor, and hand electric mixer do with half the effort.  It allows me to multi task in the kitchen and the easily exchangable parts allow me to quickly move from one task to the next.  I have found this product… read full review »

This is the single best kitchen appliance I own.  I always loved them because they had a great look and they came in my favorite color. (Red)  I always wanted to buy one but I thought they were way too expensive.  Finally when I got married, my mother-in-law purchased one for me for my wedding shower.  My husband actually used it before I did. ( I didn't even get to open it.) We have mixed just about everything in it and I haven't run into a job it wouldn't do.  It was great for kneeding dough when i made my first attempt at homemade Cinnamon Rolls.  Now that I… read full review »

I first became aware of the Kitchen Aide mixer when we got 1 for my parents 25th anniversary. Dad said it was for him too, since he helps eat the goodies. — My parents returned the favor and got mine for my wedding 25 years ago. Mom's went to my niece 7 yrs ago. They are both still going strong. — With the whip, beater and bread hook, you can do everything from beating egg whites for meringue to kneading bread dough successfully.  It really is an all around mighty helper. It also makes great whipped potatoes or squash. — My husband (who claims to hate veg.) will… read full review »

The Kitchenaid 4.5 Quart Classic Mixer comes with the essential attachments that you need to jump in and begin baking your favorites right away, including the bread hook for kneading dough.   The tiilt-back head allows for easy access to the bowl to pour-in ingredients or to clean the bowl.  The additional attachments are inexpensive.  My favorite is the pour shield which allows you to pour ingrdients into the bowl while the machine is mixing.  The 250 watt Classic mixer is plenty of power for nearly every bakers' needs.  It… read full review »

I love my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer. Especially around the holidays for baking! It will do large batches and cuts my time. I can let my Kitchen-Aid mixer run while say, creaming the butter and sugar or whipping the eggs whites, while I tend to another dish or step in a recipe. It stays on my counter top at all times and is a handsome addition to my kitchen. The only thing I wish I had was an extra bowl - it comes in real handy. They are available for purchase, but I find that $50.+ bucks for a stainless mixing bowl is a bit too expensive for me, so I'm keeping my eye out to buy a used one… read full review »

I got my kitchen aid as a present more than 5 years ago and I LOVE it!!!!  My only conerns are that the coating on the flat beater has worn off quickly and I am on my second beater ready to order a third.  I have the 4 1/2 quart mixer (which I don't even know if they make anymore) and use it for everything. — — I did try to mix frozen butter one time and ended up breaking the only plastic gear on it.  After I got done crying, we ordered another part off the website, and I was back up and running. — — I have most of the attachments and love all of them.… read full review »
