I love to cook but was a little reluctant to purchase such an expensive item. I ended up finding a reconditioned artisian mixer (the really expensive, extra large one) on amazon for a great price that I just couldn't pass up. Once I got it via UPS I use it for everything. It is very easy to use and I love it for things that take a while to set up like merangue or kneading bread. The downside is that the attatchments come separately and each one is quite pricey, but if you aren a frequent baker and/or cook like I am then you might want to invest in some of the attatchments too.
