I have had this Kitchen Aid toaster for about two years and it is still plugging away making toast for my and my family almost daily. It is so easy to use that my two (almost three) year old, can climb onto the counter, plug this in and make herself toast (supervised of course). I have no complaints about this toaster. It is not an extravagant toaster by any means, and even though there are a number of settings, there is very little difference in level of toasting between any of them, perhaps four shades between the darkest and lightest setting. It does not do anything fancy, but has worked making toast for our family of five and so I have no complaints. Plus the color is so cute! When ever this one finally gives out I would absolutely buy another one by Kitchen Aid toaster! Although perhaps I would spring for the four slice next time instead of making five separate orders!

In retrospect I wish when I was toaster shopping I'd bought something with four slots or one that had slots that were slightly wider. For a basic toaster this is perfect, but I wouldn't recommend it if you eat a lot of bagels or are usually cooking for more than two people at once. Toasting Evenness This is by far the beast feature of this toaster because it can be so annoying when you get your toast out and the top is more done than the bottom or one side is burned at the other side is barely toasted. This toaster makes beautiful even toast every time. Ease of Cleaning Maybe I'm doing something wrong when I clean this toaster out but I can never seem to get all the crumbs out. The outside is easy to wipe down which is nice but the leftover crumbs can get annoying. Design I really wish the slots were just a bit wider for toasting bagels. They're just shy of really being big enough and it seems that when I have to force a bagel into it it just doesn't toast the way I want it to. Maybe I need to just buy skinnier bagels.

I really like this toaster. It toasts things quickly and it is simple. I really like that it can toast bagels, so only the cut side of the bagel gets toasted, not the outside too. I was disappointed that after just a couple weeks the lever broke on mine, but it still works, just the pink plastic cover broke off. But as for it making toast it is great. You can't go wrong. Ease of Cleaning It has a crumb catch that is really nice and convenient. Durability Wish that my lever wouldn't have broke off.

I received this toaster as a gift. I will say that I don't know if I would have bought this toaster myself, as it does cost much more than your average toaster. But I do love it. It has lasted me for years, and it is made so well that I have no doubt it will last me many more years. Had I bought a cheap toaster, I doubt it would have lasted me this long, and I would have had to buy another toaster to replace it. This one toasts evenly. It has a very sensitive dial so you can change your toast preference easily. It comes in many colors so it looks great on the counter (mine is blue to match my kitchen). When (if) this toaster ever breaks, I plan on staying with the KitchenAid brand!

I have used many toasters, different brands, different sizes, but this one is good. I have had good experiences with kitchen aid appliances in the past, so I thought I would give this a try. I love toastings bread and bagels in this. In my family we eat a lot of bagels, so it was really important to find a toaster that could accomidate almost any size bagel. The slots are deep and wide enough that it does the trick. It toasts everything evely and it has never toasted anything to much or burned anything. The great thing is that there is different settings so you can adjust it accordingly. You also don't have to shake it to clean it and get crumbs out, it comes with a crumb tray thats slides right out. Its great.

We eat a lot of bagels in our house. So nuaturally, having a toaster that toasts a bagel beautifully is a must. We now own a Kitchen Aid two slice toaster that has buttons for bagel as well as frozen foods. I really like that a bagel fits nicely into the slots. There is a digital control that allows to to adjust the lightness/darkness of your toasting from a 1 to a 5. I really like that feature as we prefer differences in that area in our home. This is definately an easy to use, user friendly product. We do not buy too many products that come frozen that need to be toasted, but have occasionally. When we have used the frozed food feature, we have been consistantly pleased with the results. I honestly have no complaints when it comes to the qualitly of the Kitchen Aid two slice toaster, I think that so far (2 years) the toaster have worked wonderfully and see no complications in the foreseeable future. I would buy it again.

This toaster is so far the best toaster that I have ever owned. This has lasted us for years and we definatley put it through abuse every morning because there are 5 of us in the home and we eat toast, Bagels and toaster pasterys and waffles every day. This works perfectly and has no issues at all to speak of. There is a crumb tray that is easy to remove to dump and clean every time. It is not necessary to empty the tray every time. This has a warm feature so that you can only warm the item you are wanting and it will not exactly toast it which is very nice. Also this has a cancel button that will pop the toaster up if you decide that it is making your food too dark etc. This also has an adjustment feature on the toaster that allows you to set the toaster where you are comfortable with the browning of the food item you are using. This product is great and will last a lifetime or it has us so far.

I use my toaster quite often.  It has a bagel setting that I use all the time - it makes the bagel crisp all the way through.  The walls of the toaster stay cool and the whole unit doesn't really emit too much heat.  Toasts evenly and thoroughly.  My only complaint, and it is a minor one, is that it is black, and it's a little difficult to interpret the darkness dial - you have to remember that the gray piece of toast means dark, and the black one means light.

Kitchen Aid toaster works very well. Toasts bagels w/bagel feather. Has warm button, but it doesn't last long. Maybe have to have it at higher setting to have it last longer. 7 yrs old now, unsure if exact same model, but it looks like the pic on here. Still works fine though. Crumb tray is easy to clean. Also has a crack line that appeared in it right after purchase, but hasn't affected it's usage.

A toaster is a toaster, what else could you expect? The **KitchenAid 2-Slice Extra Wide Slot Toaster KTT340 **os nothing different from a regular toaster. It has no special features that sets it apart from the rest. I found the extra wide slots to be quite pointless. If i put something small inside it, it just falls in and gets burnt which is very, very annoying. I also dislike the fact that it does not have four slots. For the price i paid, it definitely should have four slots. I also find it a hassle to clean the toaster. Whenever I clean this toaster, there is a residue left behind. My food always comes out burnt, or not toasted enough. I find this product very unreliable. I would not reccomend this prouct to anyone. You can get a better product for a cheaper price.
