I inherited this range when we bought our new house. This thing looks great before you actually cook on it. Once that first meal is cooked it gets increasingly hard to keep clean. I love that it has the warming burner in the center but find that it is rather useless if you are using a large pot on any of the other burners. I love the convection oven feature that allows everything to bake a little more quickly and evenly. I also love that the oven is so roomy compared to my old one. Kenmore Range - Electric

Kenmore Range Convection Oven works well but is discolored

It works great! I love my convection oven. I just cooked my Thanksgiving turkey and it was so moist and delicious. I love being able to bake three dozen cookies at the same time. However, I have one very huge complaint. After just one oven self-clean, the white parts around the edge of my oven are discolored. I have tried unsuccessfully to clean it with vinegar, Soft Scrub, Comet, and soda. No luck. The discolor remains. I am considering trying to get my money back and purchasing another range. If one oven cleaning has stained the range so badly, what will this unit look like in a year?

When we had to replace our electric stove nearly two years ago, I wanted a gas range. Thirty years ago I lived in an apartment with a gas range for 3 months and was hooked! My husband and I were looking for certain features and for good value, and I think we succeeded. The self cleaning oven really comes out clean with virtually no work on my part other than wiping out gray ash. The range top is very easy to keep clean, and the burners are easy to control.
