Reynolds Handi-Vac Vacuum Sealer Hand held

Reynolds Handi-Vac Vacuum Sealer Hand held
too busy to make beds, neat freak, bargain shopper, a busy person, Practical, looking for durability, Mr. Fix-it, a green thumb

Recently one of my good friends got this new gadget. The Reynold's Handi-vac. When I first saw it I thought, "whoa.. what is that?" He explained what it was. I didn't think it was very practical. — However, I decided to do some research after he demonstrated it to us. It seemed really great. I did the research. It is only $9.99 for the handi-vac and the bags are about the same price for regular ziploc bags! — I still held off and researched some other options. I looked at the Foodsaver and other food vacuuming systems. They're generally at least $100. They seem to take up a lot… read full review »

OXO International 9 inch Meat Tenderizer

OXO International 9 inch Meat Tenderizer

JUL

I ordered the Oxo 9 inch meat tenderizer and don't know how I lived/cooked without it. As a hobby, I like trying new recipes and this has come in very handy.....not only to tenderize meat but the other side pounds out meat like chicken breasts, etc. — It is heavy enough to do a great job but not really heavy....or too heavy. Big enough but not too big....fits in my utensil drawer nicely. — The handle is great for gripping....with rubber covering. — It did a great job pounding out chicken breasts so that I could stuff and roll them. —… read full review »

This product is great, convenient and best of all reliable.  I can use it and abuse then throw it in the diswasher for fast and easy cleanup.  It chops so much better than a knife and is easy to use than most choppers.  Definitely recommend this for the busy… read full review »

I love fresh pineapple, but have always had a difficult time coreing and slicing it up for meals or just to eat.  Now since buying and using this "Brylane Home Pineapple corer-slicer", my family and I are eating at least a couple of fresh pineapples a week.  The pineapple is sliced to perfection, and it is now so simple and fast to do.  You don't have to worry about using any knives with sharp blades that can slip and cut you.  The pineapple rings are all perfect in size and shape, no odd knicks or chunks taken out because the knife slipped.  They make… read full review »

Brita Contour Water Pitcher

Brita Contour Water Pitcher

JUL

— To the PointWhen my mom moved into her Assisted Living Facility it came with a small refrigerator. She likes cold water so I couldn't get a large Brita Filtration System. Instead I bought her the Brita Pitcher Water Filtration System in the Slim Model. This is the most compact system so the box tells me. — A Closer View — We used a Brita System for years until we got an outside water system on our refrigerator. I  found the water to taste clean. In fact we are told that it is certified to reduce chlorine; mercury; and lead. It has the Good Housekeeping sign of… read full review »

JUL

The Debbie Meyers Green Bags may not be a the miracle product they claim to be. The longevity of the produce doesn't really meet the extent they claim. But the product does actually help lengthen the life of your produce. Another benefit is that I take them with me to the grocery store and place my produce in them, instead of the plastic bags provided at the store. Less plastic for the… read full review »

We were looking for a water filter solution.  We had previously had a PuR faucet filter and were pleased for the most part with it, but while shopping this time the Brita Faucet Filter was the better value and so we went with it. — — Installation was fairly straight-forward: — 1. Remove the aerator from the faucet. — 2. Install the appropriate adaptor onto the faucet. — 3. Install the filter housing to the adaptor. — 4. Insert the filter element. — — Simple enough, but the adaptor struck me as being a poor design during installation since… read full review »
