Kitchen Aid Mixer Review Summary

Value conscious reviewers couldn’t say enough good things about the Kitchen Air Mixer. Reviewers report that the Kitchen Aid Mixer is very versatile, “I’ve ground meat, made pasta, pureed vegetables, and grated cheese” raved one reviewer. Worried about durability? Some of our reviewers have used this product for up to four times a week over a twenty year period. The Kitchen Aid Mixer is very fashionable, say our reviewers, and it comes in many colors, but one Viewpoints member says “buy it in white. It hides the residual flower. Feel free to compare, Viewpoints has lots more mixer reviews.

The Kitchen Aid Mixer is wonderful.  It is very easy to use and the clean up is not time consuming.  I didn't want my husband to spend the money on it; I thought my little hand held one was fine.  Now that I have the Kitchen Aid Mixer, I use it all the time.  I use it to mix… read full review »

I am a trained chef and love Kitchen Aid products in professional kitchens.  I bought this mixer for my home in 2002 and I was really looking forward to using it for my everyday cooking and baking.  I was not impressed with it the first time I used it, the bowl… read full review »

This mixer is the most valuable kitchen appliance I own! I do almost all of my baking through the easy-to-use mixer and it's many accessories. I especially like the dough hook (see below for more comments regarding this). The only down side I could think of was that it is pretty heavy...but that is because it's made of heavy-duty, quality materials. I love the way that it looks too. I can keep it out on the counter so that I do not have to lug it back and forth. My mom had the good idea of putting it on a small cart that she just rolls up to the counter when she needs it and rolls it… read full review »

I received this mixer as a wedding gift from my parents almost 20 years ago.  It has had almost daily use, doing everything from whipping cream to cakes and even bread.  With the attachments, I've ground meat, made pasta, pureed vegetables, and grated cheese.  A previous user found the short cord a problem, but as my mixer never leaves the counter, I find this to be an asset.  The mixer stays in a specific spot, near an outlet, and is used all the time.  The bowl and attachments are simple to use and easy to clean, and made to last!  I plan to give each of… read full review »

This mixer by far is the best out there. Martha Stewart herself uses one and I'm proud to say I put mine to good use too especially during the holidays! The mixer comes with 3 attachments which can be interchanged for wisking up some whipped cream, kneading dough for a loaf of bread or, the main attachment, which can be used for beating to mixing. They come in a wide range of colors to go with the simple traditional kitchen to the most colorful one. I personally have the Tangerine one and absolutely love the color it adds to my countertop. It's one of the appliances that I do keep out on the… read full review »

I got my kitchen aid mixer for Christmas.  I have used it a zillion times already.  Who would have thought a mixer could make such a difference in the end product.  We can taste the difference and see differences in texture of items we have made with the kitchen aid compared to our little hand mixer from before.  Potatoes are creamier, cakes are lighter, etc. — I was afraid it would be another one of those small electric appliances we all have and don't ever use after the newness wears off.  This is right on the counter.  It is easy to set… read full review »

Kitchen Aid brand products have been around for a long time.  My Mom got one when she was first married in 1942.  When she died in 1997, it was still working!  You just can't beat that kind of reliability.  I get nostalgic thinking about all the wonderful desserts that my mom whipped up with that mixer.  My Dad had a big sweet tooth, so that mixer saw some serious milage!  Back then I think the mixer was only made in basic white, with big heavy glass bowls.  These days, the mixer comes with lightweight stainless steel bowls, and in an array of… read full review »

I love my Kitchen Aid mixer. While I am an advid cook and find myself in the kitchen (by choice), I did not make a tremendous amount of the more complicated recipes since I was not impressed with my hand mixer. The stand mixer is great! The best part is that I can walk away from it to stir a pot or get something out of the oven. In addition, the mixer is quite powerful. I have yet to find anything with which it struggles. Cleanup is fairly simple -- remove the bowl and beaters, wipe down the unit, and you're off! I have not put anything in the dishwasher (though it is dishwasher safe)… read full review »

I received this for a wedding shower gift (every woman in my family gets one), and it is the best! I use it at least 4 times a week for cooking and baking! I absolutely love it! I grew up using my mother's, and have not had any problems with it.  The issue with flour coming over the sides is solved by getting an attachment, or just turning it on slowly and adding flour.  — A recommendation some people listen to and others don't: if you aren't interested in cleaning up all the time after baking, buy it in white. It hides the residual flour.  All the other colors… read full review »

I always thought my little Sunbeam was good enough.  After all, I didn't bake that often.  but, when my 3rd Sunbeam bit the dust, I finally caved in and bought a Kitchen Aid. — — And then I took cake decorating classes because I had a mixer that was terrific and fun to use.  And then I bought one for my daughter, and she bakes more often now and is always taking sweet treats to work and has learned new recipes and experiments with healthy ingredients. — — Anyway,  I LOVE this thing!  Should have bought one years ago.  It was worth… read full review »

This Kitchen Aid Mixer has been the best investment I have made for my kitchen. Not only has it been very useful for making cookies and cakes, but I have used it to make home made Polish sausage. The meat grinding attachment is very easy to use. The sausage stuffing attachment makes stuffing the casing a breeze. Only a couple of weeks ago my husband and I made 30 pounds of sausage with it. I also have the pasta attachment and am loving that also. I was very happy to find that I could pick out my mixer in any color I wanted. I chose dark gray. I works perfectly with my kitchen. … read full review »

I have never been disappointed in a Kitchen Aid product and this mixer did not let me down. With the ability to buy attatchments, there is nothing you cannot do with it. Sturdy and powerful, it has surpassed other machines I have owned. Best of all...it is easy to clean! I would highly recommend it as something to spoil yourself or to make yourself the best gift giver for anyone! Some may be put off by the cost, but since you'll never buy another one again, you're saving money in the long haul. My grandmother has owned hers for more than 35 years without a… read full review »

Love this mixer. It is especially useful when you are making something with multiple add-ins. I also like that the lower settings mix things thoroughly but don't incorporate as much air as my hand-held seems to. — The dough hook takes a lot of the work out of breadmaking and it all cleans up easily except for the fact that the bowls need to be hand washed. — I also have the pasta attachments which are nice but I don't use them as much as I'd like to. —… read full review »

I got my kitchen aid mixer several years ago, and it is still going strong.  It's great for large batches of cookies, or anything stiff that an handheld mixer couldn't handle.  The downside is that it's pretty expensive.  If you are looking for something cheap, this isn't it.  However if you are looking for something that will hold up and is durable and that you will get your moneys worth; BUY THIS… read full review »

This is the best mixer I have ever had.  In fact my Grandmother has had one for 15 years,my mother has had one for 10, and I have had mine for 5.  None of ours have ever had anything happen to them.  They work great.  The attachments for them are a good investment as well.  I really like the shredder/grater that adds on.  This mixer makes great bread dough and a lovely batch of… read full review »
