Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron Review Summary

Are you a Costco shopper looking for an inexpensive baby formula? Parents tell us that “for half the cost,” Kirkland’s Signature Infant Formula is “nearly identical to Enfamil Lipil,” with the “only differences being in support of the nutrition of the infant.” But do the babies like it? In the words of their parents “Our little guy has been doing great on this formula,” and “we had no problems transitioning.” As long as you don’t mind a little extra mixing time since Kirkland’s Infant Formula is “a little clumpy,” try it out and you may just be saving a ton of money on your infant formula purchases.

I've been using Kirkland signature Infant formula for my baby for the last 5 months(she is 6 months old now). My baby loves it.I love it because it is very affordable, it costs $19.99 for 2 cans of 1 lbs 9 oz each.Great price and great quality. I've tried leading brands like Enfimil, Nestle,… read full review »

I'd been supplementing with Enfamil Lipil since my son's birth, and four months down the line I figured I'd try the Kirkland formula instead and save a little money.  Bad idea.  It's much more powdery than the Enfamil, making it prone to caking and clumping during measuring and… read full review »

WITH MY FIRST I USED ALL THE OTHER FORMULA BRANDS LIKE ENFAMIL AND SIMILAC. I USED TO ALSO BUY THE EXPENSIVE DIAPERS AND WIPES UNTIL I FOUND THE KIRKLAND SIGNATIRE LINE OF DIAPERS AND WIPES. I HONESTLY CAN SAY I LIKE THEM BETTER THAN THE LEADING BRAND NAME DIAPERS AND WIPES. WITH MY SECOND I REALIZED THAT KIRKLAND MADE FORMULA ALSO. SO I SAID IT MUST BE ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT AND GAVE IT A TRY. I AM A LIFETIME CUSTOMER FOR THE FORMULA, DIAPERS, AND WIPES. PLUS I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THEM. IN FACT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE DIAPERS ABSORB MORE AND DONT CAUSE DIAPER RASH, THE WIPES… read full review »

We switched from Similac Advance after 1 month of bottle feeding, and noticed a significant change in stools.  The Similac was much softer and seedy, whereas the Cosco's Kirkland formula was uniform and much harder.  This was accompanied by strain and crying during bowel movements.  All of these are signs of constipation, requiring adding water to the diet, which is not normal for a 1 month old.  This change was 100% correlated to the formula, and we even switched back after a month of using Costco's Kirkland formula to Similac when we ran out, and the very next stool was… read full review »

My Daughter was 2 months early so in the beginning we had to go with a very expensive formula for preemies..but once she was able to switch to a regular formula we started on the Kirklands brand. I was very worried how she would do with the switch and the new formula but she did great! I consulted the pediatrican and even brought in the can with me and he stated "It was almost exactly the same as Similac and Enfamil and in some areas better". Once we started on the Kirklands brand she began gaining more weight and has continue to grow and develop great. She went from not even on the chart to… read full review »

We were devoted fans of Enfamil Lipil for years.  It is all my daughter ever used and we were using it with our son until a few months ago.  Then we saw this brand.  This is nearly identical to Enfamil Lipil.  However, it is nearly 1/2 the cost.  So we made the switch.  Our son didn't bat an eye and we can't tell any difference once it is mixed.  The formula is a little more yellow than Enfamil, which was a little odd.  And it is a little clumpy, so mixing is a little more difficult.  But for half the cost, it's worth the little… read full review »

Kirkland Signature Formula is just as good as other formulas for a huge different in price! Much cheaper that is. I used mostly Enfamil formula in the beginning and when I switched to Kirkland, my baby didn't notice any difference. The ingrediants and label percentages are exactly the same as Enfail formula. Buy this at Bj's wholesale club and you get a much bigger container than anything else that is available for much cheaper. This was almost $20.00 cheaper! The powder is a bit thicker than Enfamil so just shake it up good. Not really an issue… read full review »

I couldn't believe how much it cost for formula.  When my hubby and I saw the Kirkland brand in Costco, we figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try.  Compared the ingredients to the name brands and they were almost identical.  Talked to our son's doctor and he said the Kirkland formula is fine. And it is literally half the price of the Enfamil.  Our little guy has been doing great on this formula and it saved us a TON of money.  Thanks Costco!!  Now we can spend that extra money on diapers… read full review »

I love this formula.  This is so much like Enfamil and that is what we were using until we saw this at Costco and decided to try it.  Our baby was completely satisfied and actually doesn't have so much gas and does not spit up as much.  The price is so much better than paying $25 a can for Enfamil.  If you are thinking about it but have doubts, just try it and you will be surprised.  Kirkland brand has many good quality items.  Don't worry about trying it out.  It is so worth the savings.… read full review »

After getting tired of paying out the nose for formula and diapers at Walmart and Target I joined Costco because I could get them both for less money. After buying formula there twice I spent some time and compared Kirkland with the other two brands they sell...it's the SAME THING!!! My son was given this from 3 months old up until 12 months and was as happy and healthy as any other child. I plan on using it with my next child if I am unable to breast feed again! — … read full review »

We've used Kirkland's formula for both of our kids with extremely satisfying results. Our son had acid reflux so badly he was put on prescription meds. We only started noticing an improvement when we switched to Kirkland as a last resort, having literally tried just about everything else on the market. When we had our 2nd child this past summer, we never even considered another formula. We are 100% sold on Kirkland and have 2 beautiful, healthy & thriving… read full review »

Kirkland Signature Formula has been great for our daughter. It is slightly more clumpy in the powder form, but it mixes perfectly. My daughters doc told me it is made by a former major formula company, and he said it was perfectly fine for her. She transitioned to it perfectly from breast feeding, and has less spit up on it than she did on Similac or Enfamil. —… read full review »

I was a particular parent, especially when it comes to Similac. I've been using it for years. But, my budget has decreased and Kirkland, which I've made close comparison, is almost exactly the same with the only differences being in support of the nutrition of the infant.  Not only that, but 2 cans for less than the price of 1...you can't beat it!… read full review »

We switched my son from Enfamil Lipil to the Kirkland formula when he was about 6 months old. My son had no problems transitioning and my checkbook was much happier! If you compare the labels the products are identical! For 2 cans for the price of one you can't beat it! I would highly recommend this formula if your family is on a budget! —… read full review »

We were giving our baby other expensive formulas but when one of my friend recommended this formula to me . I found out that it was very good. it has the most items which all the name brand formulas have but it is almost half the price. I go to costco a lot so it is very convnient for me to buy it and I like most of kirkland… read full review »
