Most HelpfulI love this formula! I used it for my first daughter and I'm using it again for my second. I started off buying the expensive name brand formula with my first baby but quickly switched to Kirkland brand when I saw the price deference. I was nervous at first to switch but my daughter had no problems with it at all. Her doctor never had a problem with it either. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm always looking for ways to save. You get TWO 1lb 9.7oz cans for just under 20 bucks! Can't beat that, not even at Wal Mart or Target!
Kirkland Signature Formula has been great for our daughter. It is slightly more clumpy in the powder form, but it mixes perfectly. My daughters doc told me it is made by a former major formula company, and he said it was perfectly fine for her. She transitioned to it perfectly from breast feeding, and has less spit up on it than she did on Similac or Enfamil.
We switched my son from Enfamil Lipil to the Kirkland formula when he was about 6 months old. My son had no problems transitioning and my checkbook was much happier! If you compare the labels the products are identical! For 2 cans for the price of one you can't beat it! I would highly recommend this formula if your family is on a budget!
My experience with Kirkland's Infant Formula from Costco:
When my daughter was first born, I was a name-brand mom. I bought the expensive diapers, toys, wipes and formula. I had this thought in my head that if it cost more, it must be better than the store brand. After all, the more you pay the pore you get. Well this is just not true. I was at Costco one day and saw that you could get 2 large (1 lb 9.7 oz) cans of powder infant formula for about $15 LESS than what I was paying for the name brand one. I decided I would give it a try, and I am so glad I did. Kirkland's brand is very much the same...
review »I switched from the name brand formulas to the Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron found at Costco for my just turned one-year-old. The price was obviously one of the main reasons for making the switch. I can get two cans of formula for the price of one. Infant formulas are regulated by the government, so you can rest assured that the ingredients in the Kirkland Signature brand from Costco are the same ingredients that are in the name brand formulas. I found that my baby had no idea that it was a different formula. When making bottles, it shakes up nicely and there are no chunks...
