Often store brands are really horrible; sometimes they don't work, sometimes they taste horrible, sometimes they are so weak that you have to use more to get the same effect and it utterly kills the apparent savings. Sometimes they're all three. Kirkland's antacid tablets are a rare example of the exact opposite: they areas good or better than normal calcium tablets. They're not as hard as tums, their flavor beats rolaids, and they have less of a chalky aftertaste than any other tablet I've tried. (And in the course of two pregnancies and a husband who thinks "five alarm chili" is mild, I've tried a LOT!) That they are relatively inexpensive is a great plus; taking two before bed makes sure that I don't wake up with heart burn in the middle of the night, even at 9 months pregnant.
