Kirby Vacuum - G 2000 Review

A salesman came to my door with this new Kirby model about 8 years ago as well.  What he didn't know was that I already had two older Kirby's in the closet.  I was already sold on the product before he even began his sales pitch.  I had seen the "Rainbow" sale pitch as well. I don't have that kind of time to go through a whole cleaning of the vacuum process after cleaning the house.  I am a very clean person by the way "OCD" according to my husband and borderline germaphobe.

I traded in one of my older kirbys for the G-six model which dropped the price a great deal. He even threw in the whole shampooer unit at no extra cost.  So if you want to upgrade get the price first then tell them you have an older model and ask how much can they take off for being a loyal customer.

I would not trade my Kirby for anything else but another Kirby. I have to admit Dyson is quite up there though but..... I only need my one vacuum for all my needs.

The Kirby shampoos the carpet, washes the floor, polishes hardwoods, sprays, steams, and of course vacuums.  It converts to a canister you can also use it to air up inflatables and air mattresses in a jiffy and you can suck the air out of the mattress with it as well.

It is a little heavy but I like the gears.  Not hard to push once it is in gear.  The hepa filters are great because my husband has allergies and no dust ever comes through when the vacuum is turned on like most soft bag vacuums. They also have essential oils you can add a drop to the outside of the hepa filter bag and everytime you turn on the vacuum it releases into the air.  My favorite is the cinnamon spice.

I have shampooed my family room and large heavy traffic areas using the Kirby shampoo products.  It saved me a lot of money doing it myself and is quite easy too.  Once you get the hang of all the attatchments - there are a whole bunch to cover all basis of cleaning you can swap them out in a breeze.  I use my Kirby all the time to vacuum out the car. The crevis tool is my best friend. 

If I have not used a special feature in a while I will watch the video that came with the vacuum as a refresher.  But after having it for over 8 years I run it like a pro.  I have never had any problems with it at all and if I did there are over 4 Kirby dealers in the area that will service it for free.
