I am an African-American female (with some Creole descent) and this is by far the best product I have ever tried to use to detangle my hair. My hair has always been very long and it is elbow length when straightened. It is usually a tiring and cumbersome task when I attempt to untangle my hair to put it in some sort of style. However, when I use Kinky-Curly Knot Today it cuts the time in half. Another amazing addition to this is that my hair is not only left detangled but it is moisturized and soft for days after. It also has a really fresh scent that remains in the hair until the next wash. I would recommend this product to any girl or boy with long curly hair. It certainly makes it easier to handle. I will definitely be using this product from now on. Effectiveness This product is effective in every way possible when I use it in my hair. It certainly does it's job. Scent The scent is amazing! I love smelling it in my hair.

I am african american. I stripped all of the oils out of my sons hair and dried his hair out severly when he was a baby by washing it to much. This made his hair look very dry and horrible. When my son was born his hair was jet black. After i got done washing and stripping his hair (not knowing that when you wash african american babies hair it strips the life out of it) his hair looked like a dirty brown color. My son is also african american I have tried many products and this kinky curly product in combination with all of the other kinky curly products brought his hair back to life! This product restored the moisture and color of his hair. I used this on his hair everyday. When i applied the product i sectioned the hair off into about 8 sections. I worked section by section applying about 2 quarter sized drops to each section. I worked the kinky curl detangler through very well starting from the top of the hair or scalp to the ends. My sons hair started curling up instantly. Make sure when applying this product apply to WET hair. I started seeing permanant results within the first 2 days! Scent smells great

I recently radically changed my hair care process. I stopped chemically relaxing my nautral curls and had to create a whole new morning routine. KCKT is my go to leave in conditioner. After washing (co-washing) I mix KCKT with another leave in and put it through my hair, I style with my fingers and then use the KC curling gel, and the coiling spray and am ready to start my day. Without the moisturizing foundation of Knot Today my curls would be a frizzy mess. It is the perfect base to use no matter what style I am going for that day. I also love that Knot Today is made with organic ingredients and does not contain silicones or protein as my hair does not react well to protein. Effectiveness Knot Today provides enough moisture without being too heavy. It does not weigh down my curls, while it protects against frizzyness. My hair is left soft, managable and moisturized. Scent Knot Today has a light fruity scent that does not last past drying.

My hair is in it's natural state. It's long, curly & thick. It tangles really really bad when it's wet. I was so excited when I saw this product in the magazines I couldn't wait to buy it because I'd read good things about it. Well, needless to say I was very disappointed. Not only did it not help. It didn't work @ all. I saw absolutely no benefit to using this product. Effectiveness No effect @ all for me. Never did what it was supposed to do.

If you are like me struggling to find products to style you natural hair look no further, kinky curly products help resolve a lot of problems! It lasts all day leaving your hair moisturized and curly. With this you can style your hair in anyway you like and it makes your hair easy to manage. It does have an odd consistency however it is lightweight and smells good too! It's easy to use and keeps the moisture in your hair without out weighing it down. I would also recommend the Kinky curly curling custard as well to achieve cute curls and long lasting shine! Both of these products when used together can really help you manage natural curly hair. I have just recently begun using it because I have very dry hair and I was looking for a product that will leave my hair curly and moisturized. I have tried a lot of different products and gels to get my hair to be curly however they usually had a tendency to leave my hair dry at the end of the day. Kinky Curly however lasts nearly all day without drying out your hair completely.

I just went natural with my hair so I've been searching out products for Kinky-Curly hair. Since that happens to be the brand of this product I thought I'd give it a try. I've heard rave reviews about this product from others so I thought I would love it but to me it's just alright. I mean, it does detangle the hair well (even though my hair is never really detangled from washing) and it does smooth out the hair nicely as well. I use it as a leave-in conditioner and it is good at defining the wave pattern a bit more. It is kind of watery and my hair doesn't absorb it very well. I usually have a lot of white showing on the surface of my hair. To me it's like any other conditioner except it adds a bit more manageability. It's also really expensive for a conditioner!! I can use Vo5 Moisture Milks conditioner and it works just as well! So this is definitely not worth the price. I probably will not buy it again but it was nice to try out.
