This movie from 1986 is a classic!  The opening credits feature an 80s hairband music video.  The movie takes place on a college campus during fraternity and sorority pledge season.  There are also plenty of funny quotes and fraternity/sorority pranks. They are planning a huge party in a house that is supposedly haunted.  Things get interesting when, one by one people start disappearing.  The "killer party" they plan turns literally into that!

Jennifer, Vivia, and Phoebe (Joanna Johnson, Sherry Willis-Burch, and Elaine Wilkes) are three friends who have decided to pledge a sorority together. They go through the usual hazings as they prepare for "Goat Night", the final night of initiation. When Jennifer discovers that "Goat Night" is scheduled to be held in an abandoned frat house on campus, she begins to have second thoughts. She's heard the stories about the fraternity brother who lost his life in that house, and how the house has seemed to harbor evil ever since.

Because the initiation runs smoothly for Jennifer and the others, the old frat house is not considered a danger any longer. The sorority chooses the house as the place to hold their annual April Fool's Day party. During the party, strange things begin to occur, and the guests mistakenly believe they are pranks. The surviving few eventually come face to face with the demon in the house, and they must fight to make it out alive.

This movie is great! It is a definitive 80's horror film! The murders are unique, the murders are many, and the murders are mysterious! You will have no idea who the actual killer is until the end of the movie.

While I don't want to give away the ending, I must tell you that the actor/actress did an incredible job playing the killer. He/she had to play dual roles: one good, one evil. The actor/actress even moved differently in the movie's final scenes, a true sign of great acting. He/she really knew how to appear like a completely different person.

There's even some wall-climbing in this film, similar to that in Poltergeist. I found this special effect worked much better in "Killer Party" than in "Poltergeist". It looked more believable to me, thanks to the closer camera shot on the person doing the climbing.

While it takes some time for "Killer Party" to build up, it is well worth the wait. I enjoyed it a great deal, and it's one of those movies I wouldn't mind watching again and again.
