Moisturizing eye balm

By

from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about Kiehl's Imperiale Repairateur Moisturizing Eye Balm:

I love Kiehl's products in general, and I wanted to try one of their eye creams. So I decided to try their "Imperiale Repairateur Moisturizing Eye Balm" because I was in need of a good eye cream.

There is a decent amount of product in this .4 oz. jar. It will last you quite a while. The texture of this is kind of like a really rich lip balm. I use this product at night-time only. It really moisturizes my eye area. It might be a little too greasy to use in the day, especially if you plan on wearing makeup, but I don't mind the slight greasiness at night. Most of it goes away fairly quickly. My skin definitely feels really soft after applying this product.

I haven't noticed any real differences or improvements, but overall I really like the Kiehl's Imperiale Repairateur Moisturizing Eye Balm, and would recommend it as an eye cream for night time. I would look elsewhere though if you wanted to use this in the daytime.

Kiehl's moisturizing eye balm is like vaseline.

By

Comments about Kiehl's Imperiale Repairateur Moisturizing Eye Balm:

Kiehl's Imperiale Repairateur Moisturizing Eye Balm comes in a .4 ounce jar with a twist off cap. It is a light greenish yellow when in the jar and has the consistency of Vaseline. It is clear when applying and leaves your skin looking shiny wherever it is applied. It's not like regular moisturizer that will soak in and dry quickly; like Vaseline this stays on your skin for awhile, so you wouldn't want to apply this and then try to put on makeup or go anywhere. The jar says "a luxurious balm enriched with Vitamins A and E to soothe, treat, moisturize and protect dry skin around the eye area."

I only use this before bed. Like Vaseline it has a tacky feeling. I sometimes wipe off whatever is left before I get in bed so that it doesn't get on my pillow. Also sometimes my hair gets stuck in it, that's irritating. I haven't noticed much difference in my skin or wrinkles. This may be adding some moisture to my skin since my skin does feel soft after I use it, but I certainly haven't seen any of my wrinkles disappearing. Hopefully it is helping to prevent new wrinkles from forming, but who knows.
