We purchased these Kidz Gear Wired Headphones for our four and a half year old twins several months ago. We wanted them to have their own headphones for use with their new LeapFrog LeapReaders on recent flights. Our children were thrilled with the color selection and have stated many times how comfortable they are to wear. They felt very special having their very own headphones and have found many occasions to use them other than the flights for which they were purchased. As parents, we were concerned with audio quality, as well as volume control. This product delivers both. The sound is crisp and clear, providing great audio quality for both games and movies. The volume limiting feature was a big plus and comes in handy on equipment that is capable of being turned up way too loud for little ears. We have recommended these headphones to other parents and would definitely purchase them again in the future.

These are pretty good headphones for kids. They are not too childish, but they have enough color and flair. The sound quality is good. For those interested in the technical specs, they support a frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz, which is the entire spectrum of human hearing. They have a sensitivity of 108db. They have an impedance of 32 ohms, which means the headphones will work with most battery-powered portable devices, as well. They have a built-in volume control, but overall volume is limited to 80% of what's being delivered by the connect device, so it won't get to be too much for your child. The cord is a generous 4.5 ft (1.5 m) long. They are an on-ear style, but the ear cushions are well padded and should be comfortable to wear for extended periods. They are great for traveling so your child can listen to something different from you.

We recently purchased these for my son while we were in an airport so that he could watch a movie on the plane - and they are excellent. They are very comfortable, he didnt complain once and the size adjustablity is perfect. The chord is long enough to allow for some movement, but doesnt get tangled easily. They are also very durable, which is great for the rough handling of children. He uses them often and we all love them.

Having two small children (4 and 7) and an upcoming plane trip, I began looking for headphones that were specific to kids. I didn't want ear buds and I definitely wanted something that controlled volume well for the kids when they watched the portable DVD player. These fit the bill and worked well, especially for the older child. They were comfortable, the volume control worked well and he was able to use them on the plane and the car, eliminated everyone around him hearing what he was watching. For the younger one, she grew tired of wearing them quickly and wanted little to do with them. The adjustable sizing was great, so it could easily be switched between kids or even adults. Finally, these are pretty rugged. They lived in the backpack through 2 trips and again getting kicked around on the floor of the car on a cross country trek, no easy feat for any headphone. Recommend! Sound Quality Having used them myself, the sound quality is good and because of the control on the volume, they haven't gotten any tinny or blown out sound.
