My kids love to swim and had been begging for a backyard swimming pool for a couple of years.  I finally gave in when I got a good deal on a **Kids Stuff 10' x 30" Pool With Filter **from *Rite Aid*.  It is one of the popular inflatable pools with the ring top that is easy to set up and use.  The pool basically sets itselt up when it fills with water.  We made sure to place the pool on level ground and followed the ordinance rules set by our city (not too close to an electrical outlet or power line, etc.).  The pool was set up and filled with water within a few hours.  My kids were in heaven. The pool worked out great for a few weeks and my kids had a blast.  The pool came with a filter, although I didn't really know how well it was working.  The filter power didn't seem to be very strong so I cleaned the leaves, grass, and dead bugs (ewww!) out by using a strainer, which was NOT included with the pool. The problems started when dirt and sand accumulated at the bottom of the pool.  There was no way for me to clean it out.  The filter did not remove it and the strainer does not work on fine particles on the bottom.  The pool does not include a vacuum, although I tried to use another vacuum from another pool.  Unfortunately, it did not work because there was no way to hook it up to the filter. Soon after, the pool turned an awful green color and no matter how many different chemicals I put into it, it only got worse.  I went to different pool stores for advice and nothing helped.  The test strip readings showed that the water was clean and the water inside of the filter was clear.  So the water wasn't green, it was the bottom and sides of the pool. Sadly, after only a few weeks of use, the pool had to come down.  I ended up scrubbing the bottoms and sides of it and put it away in storage.  I have no plans to use it next summer.  The pool itself is nice but there is no way to clean it well without a strong filter and vacuum.  It is too costly to fill up with water more than once per summer.        After our experience, I decided to do some online research.  I had never heard of **Kids Stuff **brands (even though it is a trademarked company) and could not find any information about the company online.  I did discover that a few other people purchased a similiar (if not the exact same) pool at *Rite Aid *and they were very unhappy with it.  The lesson that I learned is that when it comes to something important such as a swimming pool, it is better to go with a brand name product with a company that backs it up.  Many people seem to be happy with* Intex *pool products and the same size pool from them includes a vacuum.  If we choose to have a pool next summer, we will probably buy from* Intex*.  Save your money and skip the **Kids Brand 10' x 30" Pool with Filter**.
