I first was not to sure about this gym because of the cost, but from its first use when my daughter was only a week old it has kept her engaged. She really loved the light up star and i love that it detaches! I take it with us when we go out and she is now 4 months old. It has saved us many times when she was crying and nothing else seemed to help! I mat is easy to clean up and it folds flat to store. The toys are very cute and my daughter really likes to grab onto the red bird! Its very colorful and cheery and she also likes to do tummy time on this play mat even though she hates tummy time. The only attachments I don't really care for is the teething apple and the dog and duck discs. They need to be on longer links to be useable. Now they just stay in one position and they are hard to play with. I would reccommend this play gym to others as it has deff gotten its use and was a toy that was not a waste of money like many others I have seen.

The Kids II Baby Einstein Activity Gym was my son's favorite toy.  He would spend all day  playing on this if we would have let him.  I have recommended this to everyone we know that is expecting or has children.  We are expecting another child in a few months and I'm sure she will get just as much enjoyment out of it as he did.  It is also very nice to have when you have another couple come over, It serves as a great babysitter.  Our child would play in the middle of the floor while we had company, we hardly knew he was there, never cried at all.  The only con that I have, and it is not much of one, is the price.  If you have a second hand store I would recommend looking there first, but if you can't find one there check out E-Bay. The price was a little more than we wanted to pay, but took a chance.  We are very glad we did becuase it has paid off, especially if our newest addition likes it as much as our son did.

I bought this play mat for my second baby. I really appreciated the bars going over it, it seemed like some extra protection over the baby. The one and only thing that made me uncomfortable was the really heavy sun in the middle of the top of the bars. It was always very secure, but it is heavy. It also didn't always turn on when it should have, the labels on it for operation were very confusing. But it wasn't neccesary for having fun! My baby liked looking at all the different hanging toys. He enjoyed practicing his motor control by trying to hit/grab some of the hanging toys. They interchange easily, and you can clip other toys on it if you want. My baby was a super spitter-upper, the mate wipes clean very nicely. There's a lot on the mat itself to look at, so if and when baby rolls over there's more to see. When he was all done with it, I did run it through the washing machine. It came out looking perfect.

This activity gym is amazing!! My son loves it and has since he was about a month old. The Star at the top is great. I even take it off and attach it to his crib at night, he just loves it! the hang down toys taught him how to reach, and the toys down by the floor a little more gave him an incentive to roll over. Always keep extra batteries around just in case it dies when your child is playing with it. When I heard the star start to die, I definitely started freaking out! lol. I would reccomend this to anyone!

Normally I wouldn't review a play gym but I had to review this one.  I didn't do any research on activity gyms before buying this. The cartoon design is kinda silly as well as some of the hang down pictures of dogs were weird. The best part about it, though, is the light up musical star toy that comes with it. My baby still loves! It plays around 9 different songs and lights up a blinks different colors. Two sound levels and 2 setting for music...motion activated or it will just play for several minutes. It did break after a month or two. I would light up but not play music.  I wrote the company and they sent me a new one no questions asked (I later read reviews and this was a problem for many people).  My father-in-law also fixed the first one so we really have 2 now. My baby would (and stiil does) just smile and laugh at it for long periods of time. Since we have 2 now we actually keep one in the car because she does not like riding in the dark car at night and this entertains her.  It's easily been her favorite toy! She does play with all the hang down toys as well and actually loves the little plastic link-like toys that hold the hanging down toys.
