Would be better if kids really had more control

a reality TV watcher, a bargain hunter
Pros

    Monetary rewards for their future, Kids learning independence, Fun to see kids build a city

Cons
    Some of the kids have dirty mouths

I feel like the show would be better if the kids really were in control. So much is set up for them... challenges, the book that basically tells them what to do, etc. If they were sent out there with sufficient supplies and then just did what they had to do I think it would be more real to life.
