Kickin it Old School was much funnier than the preview I'd seen let on.  The preview didn't really explain the premise that made for most of the laughs in the movie, that the main character was a breakdance loving kid in 1986 ,who as a result of dance move gone wrong ended up in a coma for the next 20 years, then came out of it and wanted to enter a break dancing competition with his childhood dance crew to win money so his parents (financially ruined from all his medical bills) wouldn't lose their house.   While not the absolute funniest movie I've ever seen or anything, it was good for quite...

Alright, Kickin it old Skool for me was not all as it was expected to be. Granted I like the movie because the 80's Hip Hop Soundtrack def. takes you back in the day and has your remembering movies such as Breakin and Breakin 2. But this movie really doesn't really touch on the hip hop genuis of the 80's.

It does give you a good vibe about being a dancer ( which I am, a Hip Hop dancer) and the qualms of being a hip hop dancer past the 20 somethings. It was cute and some of the parts are fairly funny.
