If I could tell anyone anything, please do not purchase this car!  I'm not sure if anyone should ever purchase this make of car, but if you do - do not purchase this car!

I got roped into buying this car because I hadn't purchased a car before.  I've had this car for almost 3 years and even though it does get good gas millage, you'll make up for it with maintenance costs.  The transmission went out a year after I purchased it (only had 24,000 miles) and the warranty would only cover it if I had regular service work at the dealership, which I didn't because I didn't know that I needed to, but from what I hear that wouldn't matter anyway.  From what other people in my situation have stated (I've personally spoken to several people who's transmissions have went out) that it costs $400-$500 to get your vehicle serviced while under warranty and you have to get is serviced once or twice a year.  So, basically you pay for your transmission through the service charges - doesn't really matter if you have a warranty.  I'm not sure if this is how all warranties work, just letting everyone know about this one!
