So, you think you are fat. Embarassed to exercise outside? Been teased, stared at, commented about, laughed at? Hate the gym with the perfect people all glowing beautifully and not looking like they are dieing from making it from the changing room to the weight floor? Yeah, yeah, I understand, I do. And whats the solution? HOME WORK OUT EQUIPMENT.

So, we all have seen the infomercials for thigh reducers, magical sitting sit-up-do-hickies and things you lay down on that do the work for you. "It is like the pounds magicly fall off!" We have all heard the pretty people talk about their weight loss when you know deep down that they had a hot fudge sundae for breakfast and never have had to do more exercise then signing fat checks for being on tv. So to the truth of the matter, we buy the workout equipment, and what do we do with it? We look at it, it guilts us, so we cover it with clothing, blankets, use it as a drying rack, hide it in the spare room. I even have a friend that uses hers for a plant stand. Her plant looks great by the way!

So what are the other excuses? Cant keep up with aerobics, yoga hurts? Weigh too much for a treadmill? It happens. Most are rated only as high as 250 pounds. So you spend your 300-800 dollars on a treadmill that wears out in four months because you can't seem to put down the ding dongs. (My cryptonite is zingers by the way). Get frustrated because it quits, or makes too much noise, wears out, is too hard to work. The list of why treadmills suck is endless. So, no gym, no outside (if your like me in Florida and refuse to sweat profusely infront of your neighbors) it all equates to no exercise. I was in the same boat.

But for me....I have bought the most wonderful product. Actually a couple years ago (I had to go through my hanging stuff on it phase first as well) my husband went online to Keys Fitness and bought me the most wonderful treadmill. It is rated up to 400 pounds firstly. So there is no fear that I and my big bottom are going to wear it out until I am a more healthy size. Easy to use, is its next best feature. It has easy to reach speed control and incline on the side handles as well as the console and it doesn't take a PHD to turn the dang thing on, just the clearly marked "power" button. It has a safety magnet that attaches to you (a clip for your clothing) and if it is removed (the magnet from the console) , say if you fall or need to stop for other reasons it is immediate. No waiting for it to slow down. The start up is smooth and easy, you don't have to enter any special program or any time or distance. Not that you can't do that, or walk one of the ten preset programs, it is just nice to do your own thing. It also has a wide walking base for thoes of us who stray in our walking a bit, so you are not always catching your walking shoes on the side. But when you do want to get off, there are two set non-slip pads to step onto with ease. The handles are long for ease of getting on and off, but not so long that they get in your way and it comes with a heart monitor for those of us who have to watch how high we are pumping it. It has a calorie counter, distance counter, minute counter, lap counter and a book shelf all right within easy seeing/using. It is easy to fold up/down and comes with a thick steel safety latch that holds it in place. My model also comes with a built in fan that you can direct from your midsection all the way to your face. Which is the only thing I think they could improve, it could be a bit more powerful for those of us who love a good stiff breeze in the face.

I get excited about using this treadmill now that I can actually move and try new things, I am begining to try out all the programs, different inclines, speeds and I have to say, after a year now actively using it (my husband has been running on it for three years), I love this treadmill and would reccomend it to anyone seeking to better their lives. Especially those of us with more then a couple hundred pounds to lose, or those of us who don't want to exercise with the pretty people just yet.

Easy to shop, Keysfitness online, great customer support and the shipping was even reasonable when you consider that I have had the treadmill now for three years in active use and it still runs as well, if not better then it did when it first came to us.

Sounds like one of those funny home videos they show on tv. Hope you didn't get hurt.

I have only flown forward. The power went out in the house when I was really into the IPod and a fast walk singing my heart out sweating the butt off.I tried to walk right up the front of the treadmill! lol.

Really good review. If I tried a treadmill right now I'd be like one of those funny videos where the person goes flying off.
