I actually like coffee from K-Cups better than My K-Cup Filter!

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

The Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter came with my Keurig Platinum Brewing Machine because I bought mine at Costco and it came with a ton of extras. Although I love the convenience of my Keurig, I was slightly disappointed with the strength of coffee and price of K-Cups, so I thought this reusable filter would fix all my problems. Well, as it turns out, I'd rather use K-Cups!

The benefits of using a Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter are: you can use any type of coffee you want since you're not limited to K-Cups, and buying whole bean or ground coffee is cheaper than K-Cups.

The downfall to the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter is that it's a pain to use and clean. You have t...

Disappointing and expensive.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I recently got a Keurig Mini coffee maker and really like it. I've tried several of the sample coffee cups that came with the appliance and liked them a lot, but really wanted the option of brewing my favorite ground coffee. So I invested in the My Cup reusable filter. I said "invested" because it was $15 just for the tiny filter.

My Cup is really easy to use.  Just fill the basket with ground coffee, screw the lid on, and pop it into the Keurig brewer just like using a normal K-Cup.  Cleaning it out isn't really that much of a hassle either.  Just unscrew the lid and rinse the filter out.

The problem is that the coffee is super weak and disappointing....

It leaks!

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

My husband bought me the Keurig Special Edition for Christmas (an early gift as I am using it already), and after finding the coffee too expensive, I spent $18 at Target for this My-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter.  It is a small plastic cup with a mesh side filter, similar to the non-disposable filters that come with other brands of coffee makers.  This one is miniature, for a single cup of coffee using the Keurig machine.

I followed the directions exactly, which were not hard to do.  Remove the K-Cup holder assembly that comes with the machine, and replace it with this reusable coffee filter.  Add the coffee, lower the handle and choose the brewing option.

The reusable K-C...

Keurig Reusable Coffee Filter, not the best design

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I need to start off by saying I LOVE My Keurig coffee pot, and think it's the best invention ever! However, the Keurig My K-cup Reusable Coffee Filters, is poorly designed. It was $17.00 to purchase, and I thought it was a bit pricey but it's reusable so I figured I would get my money's worth, and possibly save in the long run (as the K-cups are a bit expensive). The problem is it leaks terribly bad, to where you are getting primarily water in your cup. It also splashes water and hot coffee all over, I think part of that problem is that it has three holes where the water/coffee comes out. When your machine punches a K-cup it only leaves one hole at the bottom for the coffee to come out. I th...

The K-Cup makes this coffee maker more affordable!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We just recently bought this K-cup for our small personal sized Keurig coffee maker. I think that this brings the Keurig coffee maker to a whole new level. The K-Cup allows you to use any coffee you'd like. Therefore, this becomes more affordable for anyone. I feel that this offers something for everyone and will allow the coffee maker to reacher a broad audience. This saves money and doesn't require you to purchase the flavors that are sold by Keurig. It makes the possibilities of this coffee maker endless and more budget friendly. The Keurig coffees can become expensive for many, but using this K-Cup you are able to buy any type of coffee. The K-cup is easy to use and rinses clean. It is very simple just like the coffee maker. I would recommend this to anyone who owns a Keurig coffee maker. I really look forward to experimenting with this K-cup and a wide variety of coffees. I think that with the K-Cup the possibilities are endless.

It's OK

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

The my k cup reusable coffee filter for the Keurig is just ok.  Once you get used to the convenience of kcups you don't want to do back to doing it yourself.  You love the easy way.  However, if you have a favorite coffee that is not available in kcups then this item is a definite for you if you want the convenience of a Keurig machine.  Additionally, this way is less expensive then purchasing kcups if you are on a tight budget.  The drawbacks that I've noticed for the my kcup is the clean up.  You have to wash the kcup all the time and getting rid of the grounds can be quite messy.  I purchased this to go with my husband's Christmas gift which was the machine itself.  According to him, I should have saved the money or bought another box of kcups.  We won't use it very often.  The only reason we may need it for is because we got rid of the old coffee maker and if we run out of kcups we may have to use it for his morning cup of joe.

Anything with Keurig in the name, is 5 stars!!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

**AS my title says, anything with Keurig in it will be 5 stars! I can guarantee. I always really enjoyed coffee, but never was able to get the coffee house type of flavor, until I bought my Keurig machine. (While I am not reviewing the machine, these two go hand in hand. ) When my fiance' bought me this machine for last Christmas it came with the kcup filter. It is so great in so many ways. It makes your money stretch farther, because now you don't have to use a kcup everyday. You can use your own coffee blends in between with the filter. Second, it even makes old or "cheap coffee" taste great. I used maxwell house in it one time and it tasted a milliion times better than when I had it in my...

Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter is ok.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Once we figured out how to use the  Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, we were golden, however, they don't come with directions, so I turned to google for a tutorial.

The Keurig we have also didn't have any directions on how to the damned Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter either.

Once the frustration was over, we started using the Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter.  It's ok.  It is not as convenient as the disposables, however it's more earth friendly and I can walk the spent grounds out to the back yard and dump them directly into the garden.

Overall I am not terribly impressed with the Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, it'...

Customize your Keurig Coffee with My K-Cup

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Our Keurig Ultra B-50 coffee maker was perfect, except for one thing: It only took K-Cups, little inserted cups pre-filled with coffee grinds by various manufacturers. We quickly discovered two things: The selection of K-Cups was limited, and what was out there was a little expensive.

So when I saw a small box marked "My K-Cup" while browsing the aisles of a local home goods store, I instantly purchased the little gadget to take home to my husband. "My K-Cup" is essentially a plastic housing with a miniature mesh filter inserted, and a lid on top, that fits into all Keurig-branded coffee makers. Simply insert as much or as little of your own ground coffee into the K-Cup, insert it into the ...

My K-cup works well...once you make one small adjustment...

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I received a Keurig Elite brewer for Christmas and one of these reusable filters as a stocking stuffer! I have to admit that the first couple of times I tried to use it were definitely NOT successful. The brewer would spew water and coffee grounds all over my kitchen counter as well as into the cup. I, personally, am not into "crunchy coffee". There is nothing in the instructions for the brewer or the My K-cup to address this problem; however, I did some research by looking up other customer reviews and found the little secret. There is a rubber gasket inside the brewer that has to be slid down just a bit to accomodate the reusable filter cup and form a proper seal to prevent the water from ...

Good in theory, not in practice.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

While the K-Cup Reuseable Coffee Filter is a good idea in theory, it does not hold up in practice. I received the filter as a stocking stuffer and was thrilled to have gotten it, as I figured it'd be cheaper to brew my own ground coffee versus buying K-Cups.

My first few attempts at using the filter resulted in watery coffee, coffee grounds galore, and a lot of frustration. I have since figured out tweaks (such as holding down the lid) that enable the brewing process to go smoothly and without leaks or coffee grounds floating around. My additional frustration lies in the fact that while Keurig fully admits this product is poorly orchestrated and is not truly compatible with the Keurig line, they have not done anything about it. If a updated filter were to come out, I would be severely hesitant to invest in it.

Excellent way to save money

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I just used my k-cup for the first time. The instructions say to put the cup into your keurig, then screw on the lid. I decided that screwing on the lid before inserting into the coffee maker was easier. In also screw it in very well. Where as the instructions say not to screw too tight or it will leak. Thrilled to say that it made the perfect cup of coffe using my own coffee and no leaks. After reading reviews i noticed that many complained about it leaking. Probably didn't screw lid on properly or tight enough, or screwed on after cup was sitting in coffee maker. As for having to wash after each use, that is no big deal. It is cheaper to have a few extra filter baskets, that way y...

My K Cup is an absolute must for any Keurig coffee system!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I received a Keurig coffee system for Christmas.  While I definitely enjoy all the different varieties of prefilled k cups that are offered, they are simply too expensive for realistic everyday use.  On average, an 18 pack of prefilled k cups cost between $10-15.  Just too much for the avid coffee drinker!  I purchased the My K Cup at Kmart for approximately $18.00.  The instructions included are very easy to follow, and I was brewing a cup of coffee within minutes of removing it from the box!  Now I can buy whatever flavor of coffee I choose (Folgers) and buy it in bulk, just like I did with my regular coffee maker.  The directions state that use of tea is...

Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filters - Not great

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

Keurig My K-cup Coffee Filters are just ok once in a while.  Although it is nice to be able to use any ground coffee in them, you have to clean them out and start over after each cup!  And if you want several cups in a row it can become a pain!  The whole reason the Keurig brewer was designed was for single cup enjoyment.  If you want to save money and use cheaper coffee in the Keurig, I guess you would consider it.  But, I would rather use an 8 cup filter and brew an entire pot before having to clean it out.  I would not recommend this product because it is not practical.  Great idea, just not worth the time.

Keurig brewers are great, but, the individual filter does not thrill me.  Works ok, though, no grounds found in my coffee.  Pros and cons for me, but, the cons outweigh the pros.  If you are going to invest in a Keurig, plan on buying the K-cups and forgo to filter.  Just my opinion.

Took some tweaking, but now I love it!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

So, the fact that I could have this filter and use my own coffee and not have to rely on buying the expensive k-cups was a huge influence on my purchase of the Keurig. I read the reviews and realized that some people love this thing and some people hate it. I now love it, but it took some figuring out. Ours has never leaked, but we did initially find that the coffee brewed was quite weak. We have since figured out that we were not putting enough coffee into the cup. Also, I read another reviewer recommend using the plastic cup from a used k-cup to fit underneath this filter so that the coffee has more contact with the water. This seems to help. So, four stars because I think the design could possibly use some improving, but we've figured out how to make it work for us and are quite happy with it.
