I purchased an electric 30"range - Kenmore Elite - in May 2008. In February 2009, the control panel on the front malfunctioned. I first noticed that my oven would get to the required heat setting, then cut off. Then the left rear eye would only cook on High, regardless of what the setting was, then stopped coming on at all. It is still under warranty and will be repaired, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.

We love and could not be more pleased with this electric flat stove-top with 5 burners and a grill via a bridge element. The warming draw is amazing and the oven is convection as well. The controls are upfront so you do not have to reach over hot pans as with most electric units.
We have had this unit for about 6 months and have had no trouble with it. I love that griddle burner on the left. It's a very flexible set-up. Oven keeps even heat. (We have an electric oven; propane range). Haven't tried the warming drawer yet...
kenmore elite gas range is not good for cooking ,it takes long time toeven boil the water ,why? because all flames go away instead of to hit the bottom of the pot.
