I bought this Kenmore Window Unit a/c a few months ago.  I had a smaller a/c unit but it just wasn't cutting it.  I could leave it on all day and even just one room would still be a sauna.  Now we have been having a very hot, humid summer, but it was unbearable.  I have asthma and can not take that kind of continuous heat.  So I decided to try another unit and move the smaller one to my office.  I have no central air so a/c units are the only way to go for me. Bought a Kenmore window unit to use at night in the master bedroom so that we could turn off the main energy hog unit.  Utility bill went down by a measurable amount and the window unit will pay for itself in just a coupla months.  Will add another window unit to another room as soon as I have time to.  When you compare the number of watts and amperage the smaller window units consume compared to the big units that cool the entire household, it's pretty easy to see how the savings can add up.  Been doing this in the winter too, with a small plug in heater in the bedrooms… read full review »

First of all i would like to say i have always purchased and like Kenmore products. This air-conditioner is great for small rooms like a bedroom or den but not larger rooms. It cools great and its pretty quiet so it actually helped me sleep. I would definitely recommend this if you were not trying to cool a bunch of large areas. Also it light and very easy and convenient to use and gets very cool. We even had to turn it down after just a little bit of time. Purchase this Kenmore window AC unit off eBay in 2004. It comes with a nice remote control and uses soft push buttons on the unit with controls for temp/time, fan speed, 4 modes and a timer. Has a removable, washable filter. Besides being a refurbish unit, shipped from the eBay seller to me and moved 40 miles to a new house during the last 4 years - it still does the job and cools the room the it is in. The Kenmore window unit air conditioner works great because i have a small home and i dont use the ac. The Window Unit works great, I turn it on when I get home from work and within 5 minutes my living room is cool and refreshing. I have both a Kennmore air conditioner and a Haier unit . Even though from apperance they look like they are built by the same manufacture The Kenmore model is quiet and all around better unit.It is well worth the extra dollars.  I also have found these units work more efficient to cool the room if you also have a ceiling fan or by placing a fan in front of the air… read full review »

The airconditioner is an excellent source for nice and cool air. It keeps my gas and electric bill down even when i keep it on during the night. i love using it and its a great item to buy when you have no local airconditioning in your home.
