My husband and I were in our forties when we bought our first house and needed a first washer and dryer to go with it.  (I always thought that I would be considered a successful grownup once I owned my own washer and dryer and didn't have to go to a laundromat anymore.  I was right.)

Kenmore Elite Oasis is not the Elite......

We purchased a Kenmore Oasis Elite washer last year . It is so very frustrating to have the F1 code come on at least 6-10 times per wash cycle.   If we were the first to complain about this issue I could see Sears not fixing the problem.  However, Sears knows there is a problem with the F1 function...

I love my Kenmore Elite Oasis
not very handy, picking up after pets, messy

I recently purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis washing machine.  I just love it.  I had a Maytag, and we had it for a little over a year.  I put my sheets and comforter in there, and it just stopped washing.  It took forever to drain the water out.  We were unable to wash clothes for about two days, until I was able to get out and get a new one.  We had a Kenmore dryer for about 33 years--it was 3 months younger than I was.  So I decided to go back to Sears Kenmore.  The salesman we had was great--very knowledgeable.  He right away said he didn't recommend front-loaders.  He recommended... read full review »

If your buying Kenmore buy the elite
neat freak, appreciate reliability, not very handy, a green thumb, picking up after pets, appreciative of good service, an aggressive saver, willing to pay for quality

I purchased the front loading kenmore washer and dryer first and had so many problems that Sears replaced them with my choice and I chose the Elite top loader washer and the larger dryer that can dry a king size comforter after reading Consumer reports, I have not regretted this purchase for one minute and I never mind doing laundry it seems to be very fast and efficient.

We had purchased our first new house and our first washer and dryer set and we decided on Sears Kenmore and are extremely pleased with them. I have know had it now for 3 years and it I am very pleased with their perfomance. We have the service plan and they come in once a year and clean both machines. This is fanstatic.

I have always had Kenmore washers and dryers until someone told me try the GE, so I did.  What a mistake.  I was back this week shopping for a new washer and got a Kenmore again.  I love it.  The clothes seem brighter, and its so quiet, I have to go into the room to make sure that it's still running.  I purchased the Kenmore 700 and would recommend it to anyone.

I have used Kenmore washing machines in small towns in Maine with water so hard that the filter I had attached to my machine was full of rusted iron particles, but it still did an excellent job for 31 years.  The only reason I don't still have this Kenmore washing machine is because I left it for the new owners of my home when I sold it in 2005.  The first thing I did upon moving to Idaho was to purchase another Kenmore washing machine and dryer to continue a tradition of satisfaction.

My wife and I got scammed when we bought a Kenmore Calypso Washing Machine and Dryer! They have shot craps since day one! The way Sears has handled any type of customer service is beyond us how they are still in business! If we never buy another Kenmore product it will be to soon! We also purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator and and that in itself has had it many problems. At least it still works though I guess?

NO WARM WATER - POOR TELEPHONE SUPPORT

Latest Kenmore top-loading washers do not produce warm water.  I measured the Warm water to 73 degrees.  This is "cool", not warm.  I tried two different Kenmores  (2942 and 2952 washers).

Customer service telephone number was horrible experience.  4 different people, had to tell my story 4 times.  The first 3 took 30 minutes, so the 4th time was in the 30th minute plus.  That person was not at all concerned with my frustration of the previous 30 minutes.  What ever happened to customer service???

Other than that, the machine seemed well-built.  But I returned for full refund.

I got a super sale on my Kenmore washer from Sears and they delivered and installed it.  I also recieved a rebate for the delivery.  It's been a good working washer.  I would recommend a person try a Kenmore washer. It has several types of cycles and you can set it for one rinse or two.  I do like it very well and I will buy a Kenmore dryer to go with it, when my dryer goes out.

On 24 September, 2008 I went in to our local Sear retail store needing a inexpensive washer. the staff member on duty was very helpful, and understanding and help me choose the kenmore washer, it was inexpensive, and was very easy to install. You didn't need to be a genious to hook it up, very self explanatory.  need more staff members like that everywhere

I replaced an ancient Kenmore after many years of service.  The new Kenmore is well on its way to the same status -- I wouldn't buy another brand.  The people in the Sears store are always very friendly and helpful and the service department is top notch.  I may not have to deal with any of them very often, but it's a pleasure when I do.

I have a kenmore washer and dryer.  They work well, provide me options I like and have not needed much attention.  The washer allows me to pick the size of the load I'm washing and it sizes the amount of water accordingly.  The dryer has a long cooling cycle so my clothes don't come out wrinkled if I leave them in there for a week.

  Kenmore washer.  We bought one about 20 years ago and it still is runing.  Its running very well.  When the girls were home I did about 10 loads a week.  Now we have about 4 or 5 loads per week.  Its quiet, gets the cloth's clean.  What more could you ask for.  I hope it last as long as I do.
