Mom inherited a mountain house from her Mom. My Poppaw built it way back, so it's small and not up to modern speed. Washing and drying were done outside then, but that's just not so special now, so Mom got the Kenmore washer and dryer combo for the vacation house.

The Kenmore washer/dryer combo is heavy....

I've had this unit for only a month, and it's a complete piece of crap!

First off, whatever you do, DO NOT order this from Sears!!!  The installation people were completely inept, and the service department is absolutely ridiculous.  When Sears installed it, they hooked up my machine and didn't even...

I have this stackable washer and dryer and I tell you, the washer is very small and it makes a loud noise when it is on the spin cycle and the dryer does not dry your clothes in 30 minutes it takes about 200 minutes to dry a single load,it seems the older it is the longer you have to wait to dry your clothes and the lint does not stay in the lint trap it goes around and around getting on your clothes so when you open up the dryer you've got damp clothes and lint stuck everywhere all over your clothes I cant wait to send this off to the dump.

I would recommend the Kenmore Super Capacity Laundry Center to anyone looking for:  reliability and durability at a fair cost.  It certainly isn't pretty to look at like many of the newer front loading washer/dryers, but given that ours is hidden away in a large utility closet, I don't mind.

The Laundry Center combo has a 3.0 cu. ft. capacity washer tub and a 5.7 cu. ft. capacity dryer.  This unit is pretty much 'commercial grade,' so it handles all of your laundry needs in one well-priced package. As noted above, the stacked design allows one to store the washer & dryer in smaller spaces,...

I'm actually in the market for this washing machine/dryser set.  Although I live in a house, I want a small set so that it can moved around when necessary.  Anyone have any ideas on the price of these items??  I've even started looking on Amazon.com for some ideas.  I want a set that's durable though, I don't want any junk that will cost an arm and a leg to keep running.

We lived in a camper for quite a while early on in our relationship when my husband was working contruction.  We had a huge camper by camper standards.  Forty foot, 2 bedrooms, slept 12..but there was only 2 of us.  We had a real bathtub and a back door which in camper standards are major luxuries.  But, one of the most important issues was that we had a washer and dryer.  Naturally, space was at a minimum was we had a stackable unit and other than that fact that I often overloaded it, this was the most plush of all washers and dryers as well.

To say we were the envy of most campers (and...

The Kenmore Stackable Super Capacity Washer and Dryer has been a HUGE step up for my boyfriend and I.  We live in a two bedroom apartment where a very very old washer and dryer were originally furnished.  It would take over THREE HOURS for a single load of laundry to be dried--talk about your pains in the butt, not to mention way too much expense just for electricity bills (and we all know the cost of electricity is NOT cheap).  The Kenmore STackable Super Capacity Washer and Dryer is efficient.  Although there are not a lot of bells and whistles, they get the job done.  There's enough space...

had a kenmore stackable for four years now and had to buy another one. i just love it. i live in a small condo and having a stackable washer and dryer really comes in handy. it is so versitile i keep it in a closet so it is out of the way. what surprise me is the capacity of laundry the washer and dryer can hold.i do not have to worry about running to the laundrymat to waste all that time doing my clothes. the kenmore stackable washer and dryer is so energy efficent it hardly cost me anythjing to run it.i can not say enough good things about it, the fit is great, out of the way takes up hardly...

The Kenmore stackable washer and dryer has been a lifesaver in our busy hair salon. If it can withstand multiple loads of towels daily, it can handle home usage. We have owned the machine for two years, keep up with the contracted maintenance schedule, and have had no repairs needed. Sears did a wonderful job with the installation and maintenance. The price was very reasonable. We had space limitations and this was the best choice for our situation. All the employees have found the machine easy to use.

Kenmore stackable washer/dryer extra large capacity.

1. Adds cold water to hot water wash for energy savings. If I wanted warm water wash, I would set it that way. Stupid,

2. Locks lid for 2 minutes during and after spin, like I want to stand there and wait to put it in the dryer.

3. Design of the lint collection in dryer is messy. Collects inside door and hangs out the bottom dropping everywhere during emptying of dryer.

If you need this item type because of space, check others out first.

I had this washer a dryer for a short period of time. They worked just fine but they are really small so if you have a lot of laundry I wouldn't reccomend them. However they are a space saver for small homes. They are also convienient for single people.

I purchased this Machine (from a major retail store) on December 1st with a 7-10 day delivery Guarantee.  They finally called on the 14th to say it would be delivered.  On The 14th it was snowing so they cancelled delivery and said they would call back with a new date.  On December 30th they finally came to deliver the machine, but there was no electric cord nor a vent for the dryer. (Make sure you order those essential parts when you purchase one)  I installed them myself and started using the washer/dryer.  Within a week and only after 2 loads, the washer stopped working in midcycle.  I...

I have a stackable set of washer & dryer set.  This is my 2nd set.  I love them because my house is small and they save space giving full service to my needs.  The washer and dryer are large enough to handle a queen size bed linens...yes, that includes comforter.  The equipment has given good care to all my washing needs and I would buy another set if I were to move to another house.  I like not having to repeatedly bend and turn to transfer clothes from washer to dryer and then bend again to get the clothes out of the dryer.  I feel that it affords me good body mechanics in doing my washing... review »

This is a great stackable unit if you realize that it has limitations. First off The good.
It takes up a very small footprint which makes it great for an apartment or small home where room to put things is at a premium. It does a good job at cleaning and drying your clothes. It has most options you would expect with a larger machine. Now the downside. Do not expect it to do three or four comforters in one load. It will take forever in drying them and the barrel of the washer is not large enough for that. I would not buy it if you have a family of four unless you want whoever is doing the laundry...
