KENMORE OASIS TOP LOAD WASHER

This is not the "elite"--I originally purchased that piece of garbage and returned it to the store in exchange for just the "oasis" which has the agitator.  The reason for returning the "elite" was because I watched it do a load of socks, and the socks on the outer edge...

I have never seen a washer ruin so many clothes in my life. I have been struggling for over a year to get my white towels white again. My scrubs are so dingy that they've become an embarrassment to wear. So I frequently wear dark scrubs and dark casual clothes. I can not afford another new washer, but if I could it would not be a Kenmore product.

My husband and I purchased the Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer HE two years ago when we built our house. We purchased the Kenmore brand becuase we have always trusted Sears and we also purchased this particular washer because we wanted an energy star washer. Within the first year we had the washer we had to have service on it and have the entire electrical panel replaced (thank goodness it was under warranty). Kenmore Oasis HE has been nothing but problems since I bought it, worse SEARS repair service has beenawful to deal with in the Cincinnati area, they are late, don't bring what they need to repair, waste customer's days off work waiting on them, I will never again buy Sear's or Kenmore products and will be telling all my friends and family the same thing.  Shame on them.

We purchased the oasis waher and a circut board had to be replaced within a year, and now the washer wont function at all after being fixed  six months ago. also the time to get arepair man and parts runs up to a month. You can keep your appliance from now on.

We purchased our Kenmore HE Oasis Elite Canyon Capacity Washer (and dryer to match) a year and half ago.  I absolutely love(d) it!  It saves on water since we are on a well and have a septic tank.  I've had not one complaint so far.  About two weeks ago I all of a sudden started getting that F1 code when it first started running the water into the machine, at that point I could hit stop and start and it would run thru the cycle.  Well that lasted about a week and then I was continually hitting stop start, well yesterday it completely quit.  Now to back up a little--getting a hold of Sears... read full review »

We've had the washer for two years this month and it started making a loud noise when in the spin cycle.  Had the reapirman come out and it will cost 650.00 because one of the seals failed and leakd  onto the motor.  You pretty much have to tear the whole machine apart to do this, you think you spend good money for something it would last, not this!!!  This isn't the only thing we were getting a code which stopped the machine in the middle of the wash cycle, well when it stopped it wouldn't unlatch the locked lid so we were stuck, luckily I messed with it and got it to unlatch, terrible design... read full review »

The Kenmore Elite - Oasis Washer HE has not lived up to the Kenmore name expectations. We have had this washer for a little over 2 years and have had many problems with it. It does not perform well as far as cleaning the laundry. Clothes are not as clean as when we used an old-fashioned agitator washer. We have had problems with the electronic components on this washer. We have replaced the control module (twice) and still have problems. The machine continues to beep and malfunction. I purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer and dryer in January 08'.  I am happy with the dryer but I don't like the washer.  It doesn't use enough water to get the clothes clean.  It has a built in sensor that adjusts how much water it uses so you have no choice in that.  You can select the soil level and spin speed.  It does okay on several small items, but on large things like mattres pads it doesn't do a good job.  A nice feature is has, It self adjusts and levels so your load never gets out of balance.  I am pleased that it uses less water, but I feel it doesn't use enough.

I moved from an apartment into a home with a Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer.  A really long and fancy name for a big hunk of crap!  The crappy little washers in the laundry mat at my apartment were leaps and bounds better than this thing.  The washer literally stinks and so do my clothes.  I press every button I can to try to get my clothes clean.  For example:  Heavy Duty Wash, Heavily Soiled, warm/warm, stain treat, prewash, and autosoak, extra rinse----and my clothes still are not clean when they come out!  We are talking about close to an 80 minute wash time here!

For the money spent and value received, this is the worst purchase I have ever made.  The washer, at totally random times, flashes error codes on the display, beeps and beeps until the power cord is pulled, and best of all, IT WILL TURN ITSELF ON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THEN START BEEPING, FLASHING ERROR CODES, AND SLOSHING WATER AROUND!  The first time this happened I was sitting close to it in my office late at night and it scared the %#$@ out of me.  Now it's happened so many times I just have to laugh!  I've had the warranty board replacement...

  We purchased the Oasis washing machince over a year ago and I absolutely love it.  It's top-loading and is canyon capacity.  It's so quiet I sometimes find myself checking to make sure I actually started it!  It's very user-friendly and has several different wash options.  I can wash everything from delicate handwash items to my husbands work clothes that are covered in oil and grease and it always does a great job.  Our two small children had the stomach flu about six times this winter and being able to throw their comforters into the wash was something I REALLY came to appreciate!  We... read full review »

OK, so the deal is this...I purchased this machine and it's sister dryer through sears. I couldnt wait to use HE machines and I was super excited. I have been in my new house now for 3 weeks. Sears has been here to service it 3 times. Do the math, that is one time per week. They fix it...I do four loads...it dies again....and then the cycle continues OVER and OVER again. Needless to say, they were just here literally 3 days ago. It's broken again. This time I'm sending it back! I really wanted them to work...kept saying, they will get it right this time...the last service guy to come out actually...
