Kenmore Washer - Oasis HE Review

My husband and I purchased the Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer HE two years ago when we built our house. We purchased the Kenmore brand becuase we have always trusted Sears and we also purchased this particular washer because we wanted an energy star washer. Within the first year we had the washer we had to have service on it and have the entire electrical panel replaced (thank goodness it was under warranty). Well, guess what, we had to have service on our washer again. It just stopped working and of course it wasn't under warranty. My husband called Sears for service and just for someone to come and look at it was $65 and then parts and labor. If I pay $1100 for a washer I don't expect to have it serviced every year or two years and pay $200--it's not worth it. Before we purchased this washer we had a Kenmore washer for 20years and never had any problems. Now we have this expensive washer that has cost and will cost us more than if we had kept our old 20yr washer with nothing wrong. I am very surprised Sears has not stood behind there product.
