Kenmore Washer - Front Load HE5T Reviews

This is the worst money I have ever spent! I bought the matching pair plus pedistals plus extended warranty.... It was delivered 3 weeks later.... Ok I can live with that. But the next day I had to go out of town for 2 months due to a death in the family.

I get home and try to use the machine.... After 2 days the machine stunk of mildew. I had to run the clean machine cycle 5 times before the smell went away. Then I found my soap in a big gunky clump inside the seal.... So most of the soap was not going into the machine and my clothes were coming out hard as a rock even with fabric softener. Not...

     I researched this product for awhile before I bought it.  I really wanted the Kenmore HE2t when it came out, but couldn't afford it at the time.  Boy, am I glad I waited!  Apparently there were alot of problems with that model, and many redesigns were made before this one was released.  I actually bought the HE5t steam, and it has a newly designed door handle on it.  (The model at Sears was broken and I specifically asked about that.)

This has got to be the best purchase I have ever made!   I can put double or triple the amount of clothes in this washer opposed to my last washer.  The Kenmore HE5T Steam washer has alot of great features also, delay start, steam sanitize which removes 99.9% of certain bacteria great for towels, sheets, etc., an express wash for smaller loads,hand-wash/wool setting, silk/ultra delicate setting, whitest whites, heavy duty, kidswear for children's clothing or any fabric that requires extra rinsing, bulky bedding, and normal.casual.  Since using this washer we have saved 1000 gallons of water...

 This recent Grandmother (me!) certainly enjoyed doing my family's laundry with their new Kenmore HE5T Front Load Washer AND matching electric dryer!!

My daughter and her husband had a lovely baby girl this past May. Because my son in law is a determined good provider, he bought his wife the front loader set for their new home on the Air Force base. I was so fortunate to go visit them and help out for two weeks giving me time to cook, clean and wash baby items. There were lots to do!

During this time Daddy had to return to work while mommy & baby recovered.

Purchased the Kenmore HE5T front-load washer about a year ago and really like it.  I especially like the ability to wash bulky items such as blankets and curtains, which I was unable to do before in my top-load washer.  I also like that it spins the clothes much dryer than the top-load.  I have many items that I do not put in the dryer and they dry much quicker now, even heavy items such as denim jeans. 

I have not experienced some of the issues I've read in other reviews, such as clothes getting very tangled together and the machine shaking so much it moves.

This washing machine saves money and water. It is reliable and durable. I reccomend it to anyone who needs a washing machine like this. I run several loads a day and never have any problems. The machines look very nice and clean up very nicely. I use He detergents and they work great with this machine. My clothes seem extra clean since we started with this machine. The machine has all sorts of options that come in handy.

I have had my Kenmore HE5t w/d set for over a year. I have been disappointed since day one. My husband's shirts and slacks that used to be wash and wear, I now send out to be laundered. My clothes come out twisted from the washer and wrinkled from the dryer, but what do you expect when the cool down cycle is only 4 minutes long. I feel my daughter's athletic clothes do not get clean (so I pretreat and put on 'heavy' wash, which I didn't do with the old machines). I have tried everything; numerous detergents and softeners, different automatic and manual cyles, different water temps. and drying temps.,...

We bought a Kenmore front-loading washer (HE5T) two and a half years ago.  I never imagined I would spend that much on a washer but when we needed a new one, I really wanted a front-loader.  At the time, we purchased the cranberry colour because it was a floor model and the sales person said we could have "extras" if we bought the set (washer and dryer) off the floor.  We did (since we were looking for both a washer and a dryer).  I was naive to think the bottom "drawer" came standard.  If you want the drawers that make these taller and offer storage space, the drawers alone are about $250...
