Kenmore Washer - Front Load HE2 Plus  — 

I bought this machine for Kenmore's reputation as well as it's large capacity.  I have four teenagers and a husband.  I do a lot of laundry.  I did have a king size capacity top loader washer prior and was looking for the same capacity.  It does have a good capacity size for our family.  It does wash the clothes good, spins the water out good, and uses less water than your convention machine.  The only thing is this machine typically uses high efficiency detergent which is a bit more expensive, but you obviously use less and these detergents are limited as well. I have used regular type detergents and as long as I use less of a concentrated type it seems ok.  If you put too much detergent in this machine, it shuts off or pauses and you have to check it and it is a pain when you look to see that you have 20 minutes left on a load when it should have been done a hour ago.

I looked at these but once told that it only worked well with a special type of soap I decided against it. I don't want to spend my time figuring out how much soap to use, I like to just get it over with. ;) Ron
