Kenmore Washer - Front Load HE2 Plus  —

The machine started getting loud on the spin cycle about 3 months before it completely stopped working.  Sears repairman came out and stated bearing was bad and it would be $900 to fix a machine I paid $670 for.  Three years should not be a lifespan for a machine in that price range.   Sears basically said nothing they can do about it except offer me 5% off on a new appliance in their store.

The absolute same thing just happened with our Kenmore Elite HE3 washing machine today. $700 to replace the bearings - bought it brand new at Sears 6 years ago.

What a rip off. Repairs shouldn't cost MORE than the machine itself! Thanks for sharing.
