This is the dishwasher that came with the house we bought. It works fine for the most part, the biggest problem we have had with the dishwasher is that the spinning part in the middle of the dishwasher that comes up and spins and sprays the water during the cycle doesn't go down all the way when the cycle is over. It will stay up so that when you try to pull the bottom drawer out of the dishwasher to unload it, it will get caught on this piece and pull the piece right out of the dishwasher. It easily snaps back in place, but I worry that one day it will no longer do this and the dishwasher will just be broken. It's not a very quiet dishwasher either, you can tell that it's on in most rooms in the house. If you have a baby or young kids this can be good or bad depending on whether they need sound or silence to sleep. I wish that the spikes to hold plates on the bottom drawer were all the taller variety, this has some really short ones in the middle that aren't really good for anything. It does clean my dishes though, so while I probably wouldn't have chosen this one, it still works well enough.

I was thrilled to find an apartment that had a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. I do use this dishwasher everyday but often you need to run it more than once to get all the dishes clean. I tried a commercial dishwasher cleaner but it didn't help one bit. The top edge also grows mold on it. I would say it is good for small families as there are only 3 of us and when I make a big dinner not everything fits in. Noise Level You do hear it when it is running but I would not say it is overly noisy. Cleaning Time It has the same cycle length as any other dishwasher I have used. I do not use the heat dry cycle as it doesn't always clean totally and I don't want everything heated on making it impossible to get it off the next go around. Loading Flexibility Most things fit in with ease but as I mentioned earlier it is a good size for a smaller family. There are only 3 of us and it fills frequently. Performance Sometimes you need to run it more than once to get everything clean. I think if the water pressure was a bit stronger (or if I handwash things first which I choose not to - just rinse off with water before putting in machine) it might perform better but if I have to handwash them first it defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher. Design Same style design as any other dishwasher I have had. Durability As durable as any other dishwasher.

We have had a Kenmore Quiet Guard ever since we moved into our new home in 2006. It has been very reliable and served us well. We haven't had any problems with this dishwasher. I have been very happy with this dishwasher. It has cleaned so many dirty dishes and it does a great job.

Performance It is one of the best dishwashers that I have owned. My husband and I like it real well. Design It makes sense and it is pretty. Quality design. Durability Quality, well-built machine.

My husband and I purchased this dishwasher (in a white color) about 2 years ago. It was not the most expensive one in the store, nor was it the least expensive. Somewhere in the middle. And, that's what type of performance I would give it - average. It tends to get dishes clean, for the most part, and is quiet in its operation. It is also energy efficient. However, we have very hard water and this causes a need for some extra care taken to get the dishes looking their best. For one, we need to rinse dishes before washing them in the dishwasher. Also, we have had to experiment with different types of detergent. I have found a gel that seems to work okay, but we still get a film on the glasses at times. So, we're still in the process of trying to figure out what works best. I have used the manual's advice several times, but it didn't seem to help too much. So, overall, if I had to choose again, I would probably shop around a bit more to see which machines work best with hard water, and I would also be inclined to get one of those types of machines that has a built in disposal. The extra cost is worth it.

The Kenmore Quiet Guard 1 came in our home when we purchased it.  All of our appliances were fairly new, and I was stoked about having a dishwasher, until I ran the first load and noticed that the dishes weren't clean.   I have tried every kind of cleaner to help this dishwasher get the dishes cleaner, and still, they come out spotty and have this haze to them.  I had our water tested, it's fine. I have tried every kind of dishwashing detergent known to mankind, and still, they are dirty.  I have also tried the jet dry, and it just doesn't do the job. There are even times when I will go to unload my dishes, and all of the soap isn't even out of the holder. After an entire round in, how is the soap still there?? The Kenmore Quiet Guard 1 also really isn't that quiet.  My parent's have a whirlpool dishwasher, no quiet anything, and it's quieter than this one.  If you are in the market for a dishwasher, I would steer clear of this one.

i have aquietguard 1 and use it all the time.when i do dishes.i do dishes every other day.i also like it because it is a portable.i use so much im always running out of disher fluid to clean the dishes.i got it from a friend.ihave had it almost a year.im a busy wife. so i enjoy having it around.when i do dishes.because it is quick and easy to load.it is done in no time.i can do several loads a day.
