We purchased this unit for our upstairs to supplement our heat pump. We found our heat pump could not handle those extremely warm days in our two story home and we needed something to cool the air. The Kenmore 76100 wall unit was large enough to cool the upstairs yet it has many cooling options so that it doesn't get too cold or too hot. The remote control was an unexpected bonus that we use more than we ever thought we would. It makes adjustments a breeze so that the temperature is always at an optimum. Another way we enjoy using our Kenmore 76100  is without the heat pump at all. If there is only one or two of us home there is no sense in cooling the entire house so we just use the Kenmore wall unit. If it's extremely hot outside we'll close the room with the Kenmore in it off from the rest of the house and have that area at the perect temperature and that's where we'll hang out, saving on our electric bill. The Kenmore 76100 wall unit air conditioner has proven to be very versatile and effective for our family.

Our power bill was out the roof.  We bught a kenmore 76100 window unit for two rooms. We used this instead of our big air conditioner. It cut our power bill in half.  Ny husband works the third and we placed one in our bedroom.  We were afraid it would be too loud to let him sleep. It is so quiet it sleeps like a baby.  Two of them cool our entire mobile home. Its easy to clean.  We love the fact it does not interfere with us.  We can watch tv without it drowning out the tv.  We love this the best about it.  The one we had before we had to keep turning the tv up.  Its affordable and very easy to install. The filters are eay to clean.  It looks good in the wondow.. I would recommend if your on a budget but need a great air conditione buy one.  You will not be sorry. We have had our for three years now without any problems. It runs all the time in the summer. Our last burn up after a year.

We bought the Kenmore 76100 Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner to cool our new sunroom addition two years ago. At the time, we had not planned to cool the room other than using a fan, but I'm so glad we went with this unit. It runs very efficiently; it can turn a boiling hot room into a cool retreat in just minutes. It was very affordable, too, although it does run a little loud. Unlike other AC units we've had, though, this one doesn't drop with condensation, so it's easy to clean and maintain.

I recently bought this Kenmore Single Room Air Conditioner when my central A/C unit died in the middle of the summer heat.  We were in a rush as it was literally 100 degrees every day and the kids, dogs and even mom and dad were suffering, so we didn't put any research into the purchase. Overall I was happy.  The unit produces 10,000 BTU which is more than enough to cool a single room.  We ran the unit non-stop at its maximum output for a week and it handled the job admirably.  It does have a convenient remote control for the unit and has a timer you can program to have the unit turn on/off at appropriate times. It's heavy just like any window A/C unit that I've ever seen and it's a little noisy but again no worse than any other window unit.  I also discovered that after buying this in a desperate rush, there are other units out there that are more energy efficient, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a longer term solution than what I needed it for.

I just purchased this unit and it works really great. There is one problem with it and it takes a while to install it but other than that it works wonderful. Check out your locals stores and give it a try. This really keeps the room cool and the controls works fine.

The Kenmore 76100 air conditioner works great.  It is quiet and there are no rattles or anything from the unit.  It is a good powerful unit.  The only downfalls is that it is not very energy efficient as other units and it does take time to install the unit.
