Easiest Way to Do Laundry!

5

I live in a small mobile home. We simply don't have room for two pieces of laundry equipment. We used to have to wash in the bathroom, and dry on the porch. The dryer-hookups were out on our covered porch, so we had to carry wet laundry through the house, to put it into the dryer. When we bought the Kenmore Stacked Washer/ Dryer it was so wonderful! I can't tell you how nice it is to simply take wet clothes out, and lift them a little higher, to place them into the dryer. Now, when I use standard washers and dryers, I find them to be a bit annoying They just aren't as easy to use as mine. Now, this washer has some features that I really like. One is that it has a fabric softener center piece, that allows you to put in your liquid fabric softener at the beginning of your wash cycle, so you don't have to worry about it once your laundry has started. It also has an extra large capacity bowl, while at the same time, accommodating extra small hand washables, which I use regularly. The dryer, also has some cool features. It has an anti-wrinkle setting that allows you to finish whatever you were doing, before you have to jump up and get your laundry out, to keep it from wrinkling. It also has an attached hanger that allows you to immediate hang up your clothes, as soon as you take them out of the dryer. I have had this washer/dryer for nearly a decade now, and I have had no problems with it. I know that this particular model is not the same model they are making now, but I am sure they have made a similar one, and I highly recommend it! This has more than paid for itself a long time ago!

Poor product, with very short life

2

We have had this washer dryer for a few years now, it was new when we moved into our condo, having been used for just one year prior. It currently is not working, and we are going to have to replace it after only three years of use. This seems like a lot I guess, if you are used to buying and replacing terrible things all the time, but I feel a washer dryer should be a piece that very rarely gets replaced, and with this brand, that just isn't the case. The heater core has gone out, repeatedly, so while the washer works, unless we are going to hang dry our clothes, we can not dry them. This isn't working for us, and we now have to replace the whole machine. It's been a disappointment, to say the least. We will be searching for a different brand of stackable washer dryers when we replace this, as we would like something that will last a while and be worth the considerable investment. There have been other problems with this machine even when it was working; such as it constantly being off kilter, and making horrible noises, it not spinning the clothes dry enough and having to dry the clothes for three to four cycles before they were anywhere near done. I would not suggest this brand to anyone.

Good stackable for small space.

I have a pantry area that is VERY small. I chose a stackable for the fit factor in that area. This washer was great. Ran very quietly. Fit a good amount of clothes in it (I did all the household laundry in about 5 loads per week including towels). Dryer was wonderful. Just remember to clean the lint trap after every load for maximum effect.

Basic and Dependable

5

I have had this for 2 1/2 years and it works great as a space saving, basic washer and dryer. It easily holds blankets and even a full size comforter. Anyone needing a reliable stack washer and dryer cannot go wrong, with this model. I know I am very happy with mine.

Never ever sit in the bored and dirty laundry facilities again

We lived in a camper for quite a while early on in our relationship when my husband was working contruction.  We had a huge camper by camper standards.  Forty foot, 2 bedrooms, slept 12..but there was only 2 of us.  We had a real bathtub and a back door which in camper standards are major luxuries.  But, one of the most important issues was that we had a washer and dryer.  Naturally, space was at a minimum was we had a stackable unit and other than that fact that I often overloaded it, this was the most plush of all washers and dryers as well. To say we were the envy of most campers (and especially other construction workers) is an understatement.  Many were hauling laundry to and from the laundry mats in town which were never the greatest places to be.  I do remember once when we had to replace the washing machine portion of our unit and I was forced to use the laundry facilities at the campground.  Not only did it seem to suck money like mad (much more so than paying an electric bill to use the ones in our camper), it was some of the most boring hours known to man, just sitting, waiting and watching. I have to say, replacing ours with the stackable unit was a great move and when the time come for us to move home and sell our camper, I can't tell you what a huge selling point this was for the people who looked at our camper.  We had numerous families show interest but the family that ended up purchasing had lost their home in a fire and were more than happy to know that laundry wasn't going to be a matter of weekly or bi-weekly trips to sit bored and feeling dirty in a laundry facility.

Hi, Today I will be reviewing the Kenmore Washer (well one) Overall I am over happy with this washer, This washer is not overly priced either, get what you pay for, but in a good sense! before i used my washer, the installation guy who came to my house mentioned that since i bought it online, and entered a promo code(sorry, I forgot what that code was, but remember! Google IS YOUR friend when looking for things in the online world!) i was eligible for a 3 year warrenty FOR TOTALLY FREE!!!!!!!!!!! So heres my tip: make sure you check for promo codes! for sears.com Ok: now onto the actual washer, i had it for quite some time now, no issues at all, washers everything from dirty shoes, to the bed comforters, not problems ever! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!!!

Amen a set that an empty nester can appreciate

When the last of my kids fled the nest I needed a new washer/dryer and thinking I would like to put one in a closet on the main floor of my home instead of in the basement we went in search of a solution. Well I found it and I have never been happier with a set in my life. The washer is just big enough for 2 peoples laundry and the dryer dries really well. I used to have to reset the dryer because the clothes were not drying the first time through (even when the set was new) now I wash and dry in a couple of hours and I am set to go.

this sucks

**I have this stackable washer and dryer and I tell you, the washer is very small and it makes a loud noise when it is on the spin cycle and the dryer does not dry your clothes in 30 minutes it takes about 200 minutes to dry a single load,it seems the older it is the longer you have to wait to dry your clothes and the lint does not stay in the lint trap it goes around and around getting on your clothes so when you open up the dryer you've got damp clothes and lint stuck everywhere all over your clothes I cant wait to send this off to the dump.**

The washer/dryer my apartment complex uses.

5

My apartment complex comes equipped with a Kenmore washer and dryer unit. This is the model that they have. This complex has a over fifty apartments, all of them come with this washer and dryer unit. They've also been in business for well over a decade.  These units have weathered through hundreds of tenants, tenants that don't have the concern for their appliances added from actually owning them or having to maintain them. These Kenmore washer and dryers can really take a beating and weather over long periods of time and through lots of harsh use. I've been in two separate apartments at this apartment complex and both have had this Kenmore unit. I didn't have a single problem with either in the eight month period I was in the first apartment or in the nine month period that I was in the second, even despite the who knows how many tenants that came before me in these apartments. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a tough and long-lasting washer and dryer.
